"I'd rather be dead than have you as my father."
"No worries, that can be arranged too."

I run practically as far from the Astronomy Tower as I could. Where was I supposed to go? Not my dorm— I couldn't put Pansy and the rest of the Slytherins in danger.
"There she is." I hear one of them say as I pull out my wand. "Stupefy!" I shout as he falls back. I run again, faster this time. I could hear shattering from the Great Hall.

They were close. There was fire, smoke, spells being thrown around. I can't take this— "Y/n dear." My breath hitches in my throat as I see Bellatrix standing infront of me.

I take a step back, pointing my wand at her. "I did once— and I'm not afraid to do it again." I stammer.
"Do it, Y/n."
I shiver at the familiar sound. "Crucio." I yell, trembling at this point. She falls down, screaming in pain as I make a run for it.

I ran towards the courtyard where Dumbledore must've fallen. Everyone was here. I push past the students, spotting Harry crying over Dumbledore's body.

I sigh, walking towards him before kneeling down. I give him a hug as he cries into my shoulder. But it's not over yet, is it? It's just the beginning.

I had no idea what to do anymore. Pansy wasn't in our dorm so I couldn't talk to her. Theo said her parents had taken her away from Hogwarts a couple hours back. She probably wasn't going to return.

I sat in my dorm, the door locked with my head pressed up against it. I had no one. Absolutely no one. Not Harry, Not Pansy, Not Draco, obviously. Not anyone.
"Let's make this quick, Y/n." I snap my head around, hearing Bellatrix's voice. Her wand was pointed at me. I try grabbing my wand— but it was too late. "Crucio." She says, a grin on her lips.

I scream, holding my head in pain. It felt as if my nerves were bursting. I could see my dorm door being opened before feeling a sharp pain in my head— knocking me out.

🎸

I woke up in a strange place. It was cold— like freezing cold. I groaned softly, trying to move but my hands were chained to a large pillar. I looked down at my clothes. I was wearing some sort of a white cloth which covered the necessary bits.

But where was I? I looked around the room. It looked like a cellar. A basement.

I tried sitting up— but a sharp pain shot through my head. It felt like someone was pressing daggers through my throat. My wrist stung because of whatever chemical the chains had attracted. I tried pulling my hands but that on,y hurt them more. I groaned slightly, spotting bruises and blood on my wrists.

"Ah! She's awake!" I heard her squeal. Bellatrix. "Where am I?" I yelled harshly as a smirk found its way on her lips. "Your home, of course." She said, walking closer. "This is not my home." I said, clenching my jaw. "Oh, is Hogwarts? Well, that's a bummer.. Hogwarts is dead." She spat.

"As for you.." she spoke, the smirk returning on her face again as she pulled out her wand— pointing it at me. I looked around in panic for my own wand— which was nowhere in sight. "Where is my wand!?" I shouted. "Crucio." She muttered as the familiar pain hit me again.

I could hear myself screaming in pain as my head hit the ground. There was a reason The Cruciatus Curse was one of the Unforgivables.

Just as the pain began to die down, she laughed. "Crucio!" She shouted, I screamed again. Tears were flowing onto my cheeks— my body was in indescribable pain.

She laughed again, about to shoot the curse my way before I heard the cellar doors open. "Now, now, Bella. I think that's enough. The Dark Lord will want to see her.. in perfect condition." Lucius said, a scowl on his face. Bellatrix rolled her eyes, giving me one last glare before making her way out.

I felt Lucius's eyes on me before he, too, walked out. I closed my eyes, pressing my head against the wall behind me.

🎸

It felt like an hour passed by before I opened mute eyes again. My head was still aching. Though, not as much as it was a while back.

I heard the cellar doors creak open. My breath hitched in my throat as I came face to face with Voldemort. "Hello, Y/n." He spoke with an evil smile. "What do you want from me?" I muttered, although it came out lower than a whisper. "Now, tahts no way to speak to your father, is it?" I clenched my jaw at his words, visibly cringing as he addresses himself as my father. "I'd rather be dead than have you as my father." I spat.

"No worries, that can be arranged too." He said, glaring at me. "I'm nothing like you." I muttered. "That's where you're wrong, Y/n. You are just like me." He spoke, stepping closer. I shake my head.

"You broke the glass, setting free a snake. Seven years ago." He said. I narrowed my eyes. Reptile house, I'd done something and the glass cage had broken, trapping Dudley inside. "How do you know that—" he quickly cut me off. "A more recent event.. using an Unforgivable?" He said with a sneer. "I was defending myself." I muttered. "Yes, but you felt good. You felt happy hurting someone, didn't you, Y/n?" He asked. I remained silent. Because yes. It felt good using The Cruciatus Curse on Bellatrix.

"No matter how much you deny it, Y/n.. you're just like me." He said. My lip quivered as I shook my head in disbelief. "No." I said— not realising that I had started crying. "I'll give you some time alone." He said with a satisfied smirk, walking out of the cellar.

He was right. I was just like him.

I was evil.
