Dabi and the clone exit the motorized cart across a molten trench.

"There is no way this place is over 2000 years old. That was a steam punk fucking looking track that took us over god damn lava. It was going faster than modern cars. And we were fighting demons on that bitch!" Dabi exclaims in a nervous wreck.

The clone just gives him a bored look. He turns and begins walking up the stairs.

"Do you know where the western word for demon came from?" the clone asks.

"Do I look like someone with an interest of foreign languages? Japanese is enough for me," Dabi scoffs out.

"Just guess, my previously incendiary disfunctional associate," the clone requests.

"The fuck do you mean with that?" Dabi questions.

"Your flames used to damage you. Now answer my question," the clone repeats.

"Tsk. Fine. It's a religious word, it's from one of those religious books," Dabi answers not really caring.

"For its negative context sure. But you are wrong. It comes from the word dæmon. It roughly means something with Divinity or supernatural. But it can also means intelligence or higher intelligence.

In reality, it is devils with higher brain function.

Throughout history and myth. Humans have called on devils for greater knowledge. The fact that this tower exist is more proof in the differences in humans and devils," the clone says with a dark zeal as he opens the door.

Dabi begins to laugh.

"You act all high and mighty but you forget you are also human. Partially. You still have some of our weaknesses," Dabi reminds him.

The fire user look around the room. Large metallic cages that can hold demonic creatures. Lava or molten metal spewing on the sides. Searing heat filling the room.

This is the perfect location to kill Endeavor. But his musings comes to an end when the clone speaks.

"Which I begrudgingly accept. But with those weaknesses I have found some joys.

What is your excuse?" Lucius asks after a pause.

"What do you mean?" Dabi says gritting his teeth.

"As much as I hate to admit. I accept it. It doesn't mean I have to accept the rest of humanity. Just the parts I like.

But you on the other hand....

You hated your humanity to the point that you willingly gave it up for more power.

Now your are neither human nor demon," the clone reveals.

Dabi pauses.

"I thought the painful ass ritual was meant to make me a demon?" Dabi questions.

The clone shakes his head.

"No, the ritual gave you demonic power, it didn't let you turn you into a demon. I can do that though if you were given a transfusion of demonic blood.

You are sorcerer, a creature inbetween the species and neither at the same time. The inverse of what I am," the clone informs Dabi.

Dabi just shrugs.

"You make it sound like I should care. Human. Demon. Both. Neither. I have lost any fucks to give about them or my classification. I can easily toss my humanity away. Your girls did it," Dabi states.

"Himiko was forced to take my blood. The ritual was preformed to save her life. Momo was bitten by a werewolf. But she accepted her new lease on life. And she didn't hate me for not being enough to protect her. They never tossed their humanity they were forced into becoming Devils. They were like that because of I knew people who helped them keep parts of their humanity in tact," the clone corrects.
