Minda slept until late in the afternoon. When he woke up he was greeted by Kai holding a warm cup of medicinal tea and kind eyes.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better." Minda said as he sipped the tea. The taste seemed odd but Minda didn't question it because it was something Kai had given him.

"I spoke to the doctor and he says you need rest."

"I am." Minda stated as he showed off the fact he was currently laying in bed.

"Rest isn't only about sleep. You need to avoid any excessive stress and eat."Kai explained with a serious look. Minda wanted to say that he eats plenty but after some thought he realized he hadn't eaten much of anything over the last few days.

"I'll try."

"There's nutritious soup."

Kai didn't waste any time and immediately opened a warm pot of soup and started ladling it into a bowl for Minda.

"Did you know I was going to wake up soon?" Minda asked a bit surprised with how prepared Kai was.

"No matter how sick you are you always tend to wake up around this time." Kai said. Minda thought about it but couldn't confirm or deny Kai's claims.

"Are you not going to eat again?" Minda asked when Kai raised a spoonful of soup towards his mouth.

"I'll eat after you."

"I'll move to the table and we can eat together." Minda said. He liked being fed by Kai but he couldn't help but feel guilty being the only one eating.

Kai was more concerned with Minda's appetite but didn't object to the idea of moving to the table. He picked Minda up in his arms along with the blanket and carried him over to the table. He then placed a bowl of his own in front of him at the table before once again grabbing the spoon to feed Minda.

"Is this black chicken?" Minda asked a bit surprised to find such a luxurious ingredient in his soup.

"The Doctor's family raise and sell them to those that need the extra nutrition." Kai explained.

"It's nice of them to give some to us. I'll need to thank him later." Minda said. The soup itself tasted good and Minda managed to finish the full bowl before Kai could eat half of his own bowl.

"The tea the doctor gave me for his appetite worked." Kai thought as he stared at the empty bowl.

"Did you go see your friend yet?" Minda asked.

"Not yet."

"Honey, don't let my health get in the way. You haven't seen him in so long you should take advantage of our time here and spend it with him."

"He's busy with work so I'll head over later once things calm down."

"Are you nervous?" Minda asked. He couldn't help but think it was weird that Kai hadn't gone to see his friend whom he described as a brother.

"... There's no reason for me to be nervous." Kai said after a long pause.

"It's okay if you are. He's important to you and you haven't seen him in a long time." Minda said in an understanding tone.

Kai considered his words and it was true he was a little nervous but he didn't know why. Mao was his best friend since he was a child. They knew everything about each other and there was no one he was closer to. Despite their relationship Kai couldn't help but feel nervous to see him again.

"I'm still feeling tired and want to go back to sleep. You should go to find your friend and maybe we can make plans to have dinner together tonight." Minda suggested.
