Y/N had managed to help out half of the team, leaving Thor, Clint, and Steve as the remaining ones who needed support. With school starting again—now in the second semester—the group of friends sat around the table. The only ones missing were Steve and Clint. While Thor appeared cheerful and acted like he was fully part of the team, there was still a certain barrier between him and the rest.

"And that's when I, the God of Thunder, defeated the malicious hellhound. With my proud victory, I was praised across every realm." Thor declared.

While Y/N listened politely, the rest of the group did not. Pietro, Wanda, and Natasha looked dazed, clearly lost somewhere between confusion and boredom. Tony, meanwhile, rolled his eyes.

"Sure, Thor. How brave of you—to kill a dog." Tony quipped.

"A hound, not a dog." Thor corrected him sternly. "And not just any hound—one from Hel, the realm of the dead. A beast that terrorized all other realms—"

Tony burst out laughing, cutting him off. Thor blinked, confused.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Wait—you're serious? Let me laugh harder." Tony said, doubling down with more exaggerated laughter. Pietro began snickering too, which only deepened Thor's frown.

"Answer my question." Thor pressed, more serious now.

Tony snorted. "It's just... you're so ridiculous. You'd be great at improv acting."

"What are you talking about?" Thor asked, clearly not amused.

"Do I really need to spell it out?" Tony said, leaning back as if the answer was obvious. Thor still didn't get it. "Fine, fine. I like your character. Very marketable—getting someone to play Thor from Norse mythology. Nice angle."

"What act?" Thor shot back. "I am Thor."

"Yeah, and I'm Horus." Tony replied with sarcasm.

"Not to mention the stories he's come up with." Pietro chimed in. "Dude clearly did his research."

"I did not study for anything!" Thor protested, sounding more and more offended. "I do not fabricate stories! Do not disrespect me, my realm, or my culture!"

"Whatever, God of Zappies." Tony said with a smirk.

Natasha checked her watch. "Time to get back to class, everyone."

As everyone stood up and left, Y/N followed. He glanced back and noticed Thor looking genuinely upset, clearly affected by the teasing. As the group made their way to class, Lucky Charm slowed down and walked beside him.

"You alright?" He asked gently.

"I am fine." Thor said, though his tone betrayed him. "But... it feels awful to be ridiculed by my peers. I know that here, my status does not necessarily matter. Yet, back home, such mockery would never occur."

Y/N gave a quiet hum. "Sorry to hear that."

"Thank you... You seem different from the rest." Thor noted. "I expect you don't believe me either, yet you at least have the decency not to mock me."

"To be honest, I feel like there's some truth behind your stories." Y/N replied.

Thor looked pleasantly surprised. "You do?"

"Yes." Y/N said. "If you're allowed to be here, especially with SHIELD's permission, you must've done something impressive."

A smile slowly returned to Thor's face. "Thank you, Y/N. That means a lot. You're the first person to really understand me."
