The day had finally arrived. Sure, it was just a capture-the-flag game, and the stakes were only their grades—but to these students, it was about so much more. Winning meant bragging rights, the prestige of being the best in their class, and a serious boost to their reputation.

With their plan in mind, the team arrived at the funfair. The place looked deserted in the dim light. Sparse lamps flickered on here and there, but every attraction was silent and lifeless.

The five teams were stationed in the corners of the funfair. Cameras dotted the area, and teachers monitored every move. With earpieces connecting them, the students could communicate, but the teachers listened in too—meaning they had to hide the fact that they already knew the location.

"Alright, let's plant those traps." Y/N said, stepping forward as leader, all eyes on them. "We've got half an hour before we can move out. Tony, you're in charge of defense."

"Of course." Tony replied with a confident smile, stepping up to address the group. "We'll set up a field packed with traps—no one gets in, no one gets out. Luckily, Thor and I can fly some of you over the traps, so no one gets bitten."

"Can we get to the point already?" Pietro interrupted, clearly impatient. "We should be preparing, not having a recap."

Tony sighed. "...Fine. Thought a quick rundown would be nice for some, but I guess not."

With only seconds left, everyone took their positions. The three assigned to raid The Oracles—along with their flyers—headed to the south exit. They stood before their field of traps and the barricades they had managed to set up. Meanwhile, Steve, Clint, and Natasha kept watch at the other exits, with Clint keeping an eye on the direction their teammates had taken. Thor held their team's flag, a bright red banner.

"So, we either succeed or get totally screwed from the start." Clint muttered, sounding pessimistic. "Maybe we should've thought of a backup plan?"

"We'll be fine." Y/N assured him. "The X-Men and The Vanguard won't target us. We know where everyone will be, and they won't realize it was us—thanks to Wanda messing with their minds."

From the speakers, the countdown began: "10... 9... 8..." Everyone braced themselves, adopting strong stances. Tony readied to grab Y/N, Thor did the same with Pietro, and Wanda prepared to levitate over the traps.

"3, 2, 1! Good luck, everyone. Let's see how solid your strategy really is!"

The group swiftly crossed their trap-filled field. With the help of their flyers, they quickly rose above the defenses, leaving Y/N, Pietro, and Wanda to storm toward The Oracles' base on foot.

"How long should it take to get there?" Wanda asked.

"A minute or three." Y/N replied, glancing at Pietro. "Scout ahead once you hear from Tony or Thor."

"Got it." Pietro confirmed.

From high above, Tony and Thor surveyed the scene. While the god of thunder kept a sharp eye on the other teams, Iron Man focused on the base of The Oracles. The base was well-defended—six team members remained behind, guarding their flag, while two scouts were out ahead.

"Six people holding the base." Tony reported over the comms. "Doesn't seem too tough. The problem is the entire field is coated with some kind of slippery liquid." He scanned the substance. "Looks like they want to attack from a distance while you struggle to get through it."
