The next morning, back in Peter's room, he and his new demon companion went through the contract again. This time, the brunette was making new demands.

"You're really a buzzkill, huh?" Y/N teased.

"We're not going to share a bed." Peter reminded him.

"Then where else am I supposed to rest?"

"I dunno. I'll ask Mr. Stark or something if he can find something." Peter replied, writing down his new demands on the contract. "Now, I also don't want you to kill anyone anymore."

The demon frowned. "I decline."

"It's for the best for both of us." Peter said, looking straight into Y/N's eyes. "You're living in the regular world. If you kill someone, the cops come, and you get thrown in jail—"

Right as Y/N was about to speak, Peter continued. "And using your powers will only make things worse."

"Whatever." Y/N rolled his eyes and lay down on the bed, legs crossed as he stared up at the ceiling.

Once Peter finished writing his side of the contract, he reviewed it carefully, hoping he hadn't forgotten anything. After several checks, he signed it and tried to hand it to Y/N, who simply ignored him.

"Y/N."

"I'm not signing."

Peter frowned. "Why?"

"I'm not going to be treated like trash. Signing that contract means giving up a big part of my free will."

Peter sighed and set the contract down. "Just because I don't want you to kill anyone or sleep in the same bed doesn't mean you won't sign it?"

"If you want me to rest somewhere else, fine. But I don't need it to be in the contract. And don't even start with the whole killing thing. You should be grateful I allowed you to put down that I can't kill the innocent."

As Peter tried to think of a way to make Y/N comply, he remembered one clause in the original contract he could use. "Stop complaining and sign the contract."

Y/N rolled his eyes. "I'll stop complaining, but you can't outsmart the contract like that." He stood up from the bed, stretching. "You can stop my actions, but you can't order me around."

He walked toward the door, leaving Peter holding the contract and pen, thinking how glad he was that his aunt had gone to work today.

"I'm trying to make this work, Y/N."

"Then we make it work without updating the contract." Y/N replied, walking to the couch to watch some TV.

"Fine." Peter said, standing near the couch, clearly irritated. "Then I tell you, stop killing people. I'll call Mr. Stark to see if he can give you a house or something."

"Still got the problem that I need to be under your watch according to the contract."

"Fine, we change that part!" Peter raised his voice, sounding frustrated. "We'll change it so you're allowed to be at your own place without me, okay?"

Y/N looked at the tired, frustrated Peter. "Fine..."

Once Peter contacted Tony about the issue, he didn't mention that Y/N was a demon he'd formed a contract with. Instead, he said he had a 'friend' he wanted to introduce to Iron Man. So, rather than bringing up the housing problem right away, the two first met up at the Avengers Compound.
