Again, it's another day for Y/N and Steve to work through their issues. However, the counselor is quick to discover that it's more of a one-sided problem. As much as she tries to encourage Steve to open up and work through his frustrations, Captain America continues to stand firm in his position.

"Mr. Rogers, we've been doing these sessions for several weeks now—almost two months. Twice a week." The counselor says, her tone calm but showing signs of frustration. "Your classmate has been participating and completing every exercise without issue. But if you can't even show a little effort, I'm afraid we've hit a roadblock."

"Fine by me." Steve responds flatly. "Can I request to be transferred to another team now?"

Feeling compelled to speak, Y/N finally steps in. "Steve, I've had enough of this."

Steve stares at his classmate, his expression unmoved.

"I get that you're disappointed you weren't chosen as the leader—but after everything that's happened, I can see why they didn't choose you." Steve's glare sharpens. "You're being petty. You're never with the team. Instead of proving yourself, you mope, complain, and take it out on others—when the problem is you."

"I'm the problem!?" Steve snaps, his composure breaking. "The real problem is that they put someone like you in charge! You're not a man! A man is supposed to be a leader—not checking out other guys like some goddamn degenerate!"

Y/N freezes, stunned by the outburst.

"Mr. Rogers!" The counselor steps in sharply. "Are you suggesting he can't be a good leader because of his sexuality?"

"Yes!" Steve replies without hesitation. "People like him weren't meant to lead! Only real men should!"

There's a beat of heavy silence. Steve's chest heaves as he breathes through his anger. Y/N remains speechless, still processing what was just said. The counselor, though visibly shaken herself, keeps her composure enough to respond.

"Mr. Rogers, this school does not tolerate discrimination of any kind—whether it's based on gender, race, age, or sexuality. Students who engage in this behavior are subject to review by the school council and may face expulsion."

Steve's face falters. Anger gives way to something more uncertain—fear. He stares at the counselor, speechless. After a second, his eyes flick to Y/N, then back to the floor. Without another word, he slowly stands and walks toward the door.

Y/N watches as Steve leaves, the door shutting behind him with a soft click.

The counselor turns to Y/N. "Are you alright?"

Y/N swallows hard, then clears his throat. "...I'm fine. Just... shocked, that's all."

When night arrived and everyone was going to bed, so were Y/N and Clint. However, just before they got into bed, there was a knock at the door.

"Y/N?"

"Pietro?" Y/N walked over and opened the door, finding his friend in his nightwear. "Hey."

"Can I crash here for tonight?" Pietro motioned toward the room next to them. "Steve kicked me out."

"He kicked you out?" Y/N asked in disbelief.

"Sounds like a Steve move." Clint added dryly from across the room.

"Yeah. I wanted to stay, but then he threatened me—said he'd beat me if I didn't leave." Pietro pulled some keys from his pocket. "Feel free to try him, but I'm done with that asshole tonight..."
