Knight Steve Falling In Love With A Librarian Part 2

At the library, Y/N tried his best to continue his day-to-day life. While the war raged on, it hadn't affected the city. Instead, it continued on the battlefield, far, far away. With Steve Rogers so distant, Y/N often wondered if he was alright.

While putting some books back on the shelves, a special visitor entered the library. As other customers browsed through the books, the man carried a bag as he walked around, eventually spotting Y/N on the ladder, returning books.

"You're Y/N?"

The librarian looked back. "Yes?"

"I have a letter for you."

Y/N immediately realized it might be from Steve. Carefully, he climbed down after placing the final book on the shelf. Once on the ground, he walked over to the courier and accepted the letter.

It was signed by Steve Rogers.

"Have a nice day." The courier said with a nod.

Y/N returned the gesture gratefully.

He then opened the envelope and pulled out the letter inside. He quickly began reading, eager to know if Steve was alright. In his hands was a carefully written message.

'Dear Y/N,

I hope you're doing well. I'm aware you may feel lonely without me, so I try to write to you as often as I can. I hope you do the same.

As for me, the war continues. We have been holding our borders and keeping them protected. Right now, we have decided to take a defensive stance, as we believe it is the most strategic option. Unless the situation changes, we will remain here.

Over the past month, we have been attacked nearly ten times. However, we have noticed that due to their lack of proper nutrients, their strength is not what it once was.

We suspect that if we remain patient, they may eventually surrender. When the time is right, I hope our king considers diplomacy. I would rather end this with both sides living in peace and prosperity instead of unnecessary deaths.

My apologies. I realize I have spoken too much about the current situation. You probably want to hear more about me, right?

Well, I'm fine. There is a hole left without you. I still have my best friend and comrades, but now that I have finally found someone worthy of being my partner, it is difficult being away from him.

Y/N smiled softly.

Steve was alive and well, but it was clear how much he missed him.

Holding the letter close to his chest, he looked back at the desk. Seeing the papers and pencil waiting there, an idea came to mind.

Back at the border, a military base had been established. Alongside the army, soldiers remained on watch, prepared in case of any surprise attacks. Inside the base, commanders gathered in their armor, strategizing ways to strengthen their defenses and protect the border.
