The Avengers were shocked when Y/N casually mentioned one day that he had never had a driver's license. They assumed everyone knew how to drive, just in case they needed to travel by car. Yet it appeared one of them had never learned.
Feeling responsible for his team, Steve offered to teach him. He didn't expect it to be much of a challenge—however, to his surprise, it was.
"Stop!"
Y/N quickly hit the brakes, executing a hard parking maneuver. With anxiety in his eyes, he looked both too alert and too panicked to drive properly, breathing heavily. They were practicing in the driving lot at the compound.
Steve looked concerned as he caught his breath. "You alright?"
"T-This is why I hate driving." Y/N said, gripping the steering wheel tightly.
"Let's just take a breath." Steve tried to calm him down. "We'll take a break. No one got injured, and you didn't hit anything."
After several minutes, Y/N finally began to calm down. Steve noticed him easing up and gave him a reassuring nod.
"Whenever you're ready, we'll start again." Steve said calmly. "First, check your center mirror to make sure no one is there."
Y/N did so. The area was clear, though there were two parked cars beside him.
"Then put the car in reverse and gently drive backward. Gently."
"Okay..." Y/N followed the instructions, slowly shifting into reverse.
"And remember, always look behind you. Visibility is important." Steve reminded him.
As Y/N carefully pressed the gas to reverse, his nose suddenly became itchy. He lost focus and let out a sudden series of sneezes, pressing the accelerator too hard.
"Shit—!"
Steve quickly grabbed the steering wheel, trying to regain control while also pulling Y/N's foot off the gas.
However, they then heard a loud thud as the car hit something. Both men stared at each other in shock before slowly looking back.
"What the fuck?!"
They immediately recognized the voice. Tony Stark.
Hastily, both of them unbuckled their seatbelts. Steve turned off the car, and they rushed out to the back.
There, they found Tony on the ground, clutching his right arm in pain. A tablet with a cracked screen lay beside him, along with a spilled cup of coffee staining his suit.
"Holy shit, Tony!" Y/N shouted in panic. "I—I'm sorry!"
Tony glared at them through the pain. "Just get me to a hospital... now!"

With a cast on his right arm, Tony, Y/N, and Steve all walk back to the car from the hospital. Having learned that it would take around 2 months for Tony to recover from his broken arm, Y/N feels even more guilty.
"Just make sure Steve is driving." Tony mutters, causing Y/N to give a sad frown while Steve gives him a quick glare.
With both men helping him get into the car and buckle him in, they then take their seats in the front. Steve starts the car, with Y/N still looking regretful. Meanwhile, Tony just looks annoyed. They share an awkward silence as the radio plays in the background.
