An hour later you came out of surgery, still high off of the anesthetic. You were patched up with large bandages. Sadly, alone in your room. You were babbling on and on, not sure of what you were saying because the anesthetic was pretty strong. You didn't even know who came into your room because you were so out of it.

You kept on babbling at them. "Awwww it's my friends! I love you guys soooooooo much!"

"She is so out of it." Jay laughed a little.

You blindly reached out and pulled whoever was closest's face down to yours, making out with them. "No, baby please stop. You aren't yourself and I can't let you do that. You might be doing something you'll regret later," Jay said.

"Awwww," you complained. You reached out for Nathan, who gave you a quick peck on the cheek but said the same as Jay.

"You guys don't love me?" You said with a slight pout.

"We do!" They said in unison.

"We love you enough to not let you do something you'll regret," Nathan said.

"But, I won't regret it! I prommisse!!!" you slurred a bit.

"Yeah you will. We can't let you." Jay said.

"Pweeeeasse?" you asked.

Without giving him a chance, you pulled Jay's face to yours and kissed him, not letting him escape. You tried to deepen the kiss, trying to put your tongue into Jay's mouth, your fingers running through his hair. Jay pulled away though, and the hurt was clear on Nathan's face.

"No I can't, I won't let you. You're high off of the anesthetic. As much as I want you to kiss me, I won't let you." Jay explained.

Nathan had tears welling up in his eyes as he walked out of the room. "Nathan! Wait!" Jay yelled.

Jay caught up with him and grabbed his arm. "WHAT?!? What could you possibly want Jay? It's obvious she chooses you over me!!!" Nathan yelled.

"Mate, no. You were her first love. She's just high off of the anesthetic." Jay said calmly.

"But did you resist?!? You accepted her making out with you!!! A real mate wouldn't let that happen!" Nathan was furious.

"Nath I couldn't!!! She was holding me against her!"

"You are stronger than her. You're stronger than me! So don't lie to my face!" Nathan yelled.

"Mate, she's like the Hulk when she's drugged up!" Jay said, trying to earn a laugh.

Nathan looked at Jay, disgusted. He shook his head and walked away, feeling betrayed. Jay had tears in his eyes as he walked back to your room. "What's wrong? Come here so I can kiss it better?" You asked happily.

"No, because when you kissed me before, you made everything ten times worse. I'm not allowing you." Jay said.

"Awww," you complained.

"You'll understand when you aren't so drugged up. I have to go find Nathan." Jay said, walking out of your room. "Maybe...maybe this whole thing between you and I isn't worth it. I can't lose one of my best mates."

"What did you say?" It was Nathan.

Jay took a deep breath. "I'm saying she's yours. I can't let this come between us, Nath. You're my mate after all."

"I was just about to give up and let you have her," Nathan said. "she loves you, if you couldn't tell in the way she cried into your chest at the beach."
