Almost Is Never Enough

Chapter 129

Jay drove you both home and he held your hand on the way. He kissed it every so often and kept sneaking glances at your ring finger. "I love you," he said, as you pulled up outside of the house.

"I'm in love with you," you said. He grinned at you and kissed your cheek, leading you inside.

Once inside, everyone attacked you with hugs. "Welcome home love!" Nathan said, kissing your cheek. You smiled at him and hugged him back.

Jay came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your back, kissing your neck. "It's been too long," he mumbled.

You smiled and melted into him. "It's been way too long," you said.

"I'm restraining myself so much right now..." He admitted, whispering in your ear.

"I'll make up for that later," you whispered back.

"What are you planning on doing, lovebirds?" Nareesha asked.

"Anything with her," Jay said, his head in the crook of your shoulder as his hold on you tightened.

"Anything with him," you said, smiling at him.

"Awwwwww," Nareesha and Kelsey said.

"Love you," you said, kissing him.

"Love you more," Jay said against your lips, before pressing them against yours again.

"Alright love birds you can stop," Max said.

"Sorry Max, we're not stopping," you said, kissing Jay again. Jay slipped his tongue in, putting his hands on your waist and pulling you closer. You wrapped your arms around his neck and your lips moved in sync.

"Ugh stop!!!" Max groaned.

You and Jay ignored him as you deepened the kiss. Your hand was at the back of his neck, running through his hair. "Mmmmm we should stop," he mumbled against your lips. You smiled against his lips and kissed him one more time before breaking away.

"So are you going on a date or something?" Kelsey asked.

"We should," Jay said. "We can always go back to our place."

"Hmmm that'd be nice," you said, "but let's go somewhere different tonight, okay babe?"

"I'd go anywhere with you babe," Jay smirked.

"Where are we going then?" You asked.

"I don't know, guess we'll see," Jay said. You held his hand. "You look really cute in my sweatshirt by the way," he said.

You blushed. "I kind of borrowed it. Hope you don't mind."

"He doesn't mind, he slept clutching your shirt!!!" Tom yelled out.

"Aww Jay," you said as he blushed.

"Fuck you Tom," he mumbled. You laughed and kissed his cheek. "Put sneakers on," he smiled, as you left to get your shoes.

"Okay bird," you said, finding your sneakers and putting them on.

Meanwhile, Siva snuck Jay the ring, putting it in his jacket pocket, remembering that he couldn't propose tonight. "Ready," you said, going back over to Jay.

He kissed your cheek and took your hand, leading you outside. "We're taking a hike, if that's okay," he said.

"That's fine," you smiled as you followed his lead. He walked to a little trail, and you smiled at him. "Gosh Jay, you and I alone in the woods...I'm worried," you joked.
