Almost Is Never Enough

Chapter 105

You finally arrived home, and everyone greeted you and welcomed you back. However, you were quite weary. Not really exhausted, but just sick of everyone and everything. After everyone settled down, you walked upstairs to your room alone and shut the door. You laid down on your bed and stared at nothing in particular, just wanting to be by yourself.

Jay texted you.

Jay: Love? You alright? xx

You didn't respond, turning your phone off.

Jay furrowed his brow at his phone and walked upstairs to your shared room. "Lovely? It's me. Can I come in?"

You whispered a faint "yes" and Jay opened the door. "I know you're not okay," he said, laying down beside you.

"I just wanted to be alone for a little while," you said.

Jay sighed and got his iPod out from his pocket and started playing a song.

"I, I want you forever, forever and always

Through the good, and the bad, and the ugly

We'll grow old together and always remember

Whether happy, or sad, or whatever

We'll still love each other

Forever and always," the music played, Jay singing along.

You bit your lip and felt a tear fall down your cheek from how beautiful the song was. Jay smiled at you and kissed your forehead. "Nareesha would be going insane right now," you giggled.

"She probably would be," Jay joked, as he kissed your tear away from your cheek.

Another tear slipped down your cheek. You leaned up and brushed your lips against Jay's, the song being so beautiful. Jay smiled at you and rested his chin on top of your head as you both listened to the song. You closed your eyes, absolutely loving the moment and who you were sharing it with. "I love you so much, baby," Jay whispered.

"I love you too, Jay," you whispered back, as his embrace tightened.

You both heard someone take a picture and you looked towards the doorway to see Nareesha and Kelsey taking pictures. You still had tears in your eyes. "Really guys?" You asked.

"Sorry. We walked up here to go to Kelsey's room and kind of saw you guys being really cute...it was hard not to," Nareesha said.

"You're adorable!" Kelsey said.

"Thanks," you blushed, as Jay kissed your cheek.

"Now how about you leave us alone and get with your own boyfriends?" Jay said, laughing.

"Fine, fine," they said, walking back downstairs.

The song ended and Jay pulled you into a long, gentle kiss. "God I love you so much," Jay said.

You smiled back at him. "I'm in love with you," you said.

Jay leaned into you for another meaningful kiss, his soft lips touching yours, giving you butterflies in your stomach. "I love this," you whispered, "the feeling you give me."

"I feel it too, that weird feeling in my stomach. It's making me fall harder for you," Jay said.

"It made me realize that you were the one." You said, "that weird feeling."

Jay smiled at you and whispered in your ear, "I've always felt that for you. It's been getting stronger since the day you chose me."

"It's weird..." You said again.

"It's not weird...it's love." Jay whispered.

"And love is weird...but I think I like it. Just like I like you," you smiled.

Jay bit his lip and smiled, more genuinely than he had ever smiled before. He leaned down and kissed you softly. "We're weird. We're weird because we're in love," he mumbled against your lips.

"Then I guess we can be weird together," you said, before leaning in to kiss him.

Another chorus of "awwww" came from the doorway. You both looked up to see Nareesha and Kelsey back again. "Really girls?" You asked.

"This is way too cute!!!" Nareesha said in awe.

"Seriously, get married already!" Kelsey said.

Jay smiled at them and held you closer to him. "It's only been six months," Jay said.

"Six months too long! You're meant to be!" Nareesha said.

"I could say the same about you and Siva. It's been 5 years too long," Jay said.

Nareesha smiled at him. "Honestly though, you should be in The Notebook or something," she said.

"We could you know. If you're a bird, I'm a bird." You giggled. He laughed at you and hugged you closer, kissing your cheek.

"Awwwwwww!" Kelsey and Nareesha said.

You smiled at them, blushing insanely. "She's blushing oh my god propose already!" Nareesha said.

"Do you have a ring pop?" Jay joked.

"Awww! That would be so cute!" Nareesha said.

"That's it. We're going to the store and getting one for you!" Kelsey said, rushing downstairs with Nareesha.

You both rolled your eyes at them as Jay picked you up bridal style, making you laugh.
