Almost Is Never Enough

Chapter 32

*Meanwhile at the hospital*

"Mates we gotta go home, it's Nath," Tom said.

"What about Nath?" You asked, worried.

"I don't know, Kelsey just asked us to go down there, said he needed us for something," Tom lied, knowing exactly what they were going to do down there.

"Oh okay," you said, slightly skeptical. Tom, Siva, and Max got up and left the hospital.

"I'm worried," you said, snuggling into Jay's chest.

"It'll be okay love, by the sound of it I don't think anything is wrong," Jay said.

"I hope so. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he's done something because of me. I can't stand breaking his heart," you whispered.

"You should go down there, see what's up. Maybe it'll make him feel better if there is something wrong." Jay suggested.

"Something tells me to let the boys deal with this one," you said.

"I'm truly sorry," Jay whispered.

"It's okay, I just wish there was something that I could do. I hurt him and have no clue how to help." You said, snuggling closer into his chest.

"You'll figure something out." Jay said.

*Meanwhile with the boys*

"So what's going on with Nath?" Siva asked as Tom drove the car.

"He's in a bad place boys. He had a picture of the first time they met and wrote on the back 'We almost knew what love was...but almost is never enough' and then he burned it." Tom said.

"Oh god...he loves that picture," Max said from the backseat.

"There's more. He's been getting suicidal thoughts, saying he doesn't deserve to live unless it's with her. " Tom continued.

"Drive faster, this isn't good at all." Siva said as Tom stepped on the gas a little more.

"Is there anything else he's done since the girls were there?" Max asked.

"He's refused to drink tea. He says he hates it now," Tom said.

"Holy shit..." Max said. "He's really bad if he's saying that, we gotta hurry up."

"There's something called a speed limit mate," Tom mumbled.

"Ughh fine." Max groaned, he was really worried about Nath.

"I'll check with Nareesha on how he's doing now." Siva said, calling her. "Nareesha? How's Nath?" Siva asked, putting the phone on speaker.

"Not good. We were trying to calm him down before, but he ran away from us. We found him and tried to help, it's not working though. He hasn't moved, he just keeps crying." Nareesha said.

Max looked really worried about Nath. "Stay with Baby Nath, okay? We'll be there in a second!" He shouted.

"Okay, don't worry. I'll try and keep him as stable as possible before you get here. Bye," Nareesha said, hanging up.

"Hurry the fuck up, Tom," Max mumbled.

"Max, I can't go any faster without getting stopped by the police!" Tom said.

"Fine fine," Max mumbled. They finally pulled into the driveway. They ran out of the car and went to find Nathan and the girls.

When they finally did, they ran up to Nath, seeing that he was a wreck. "Oh god..." Max said, crouching down to his level on the ground. "Nath?" Max asked.
