Almost Is Never Enough

Chapter 101

The next morning Jay woke up and got ready as usual, but this time he packed a keyboard and some guitars in the car. "I'll be there soon, lovely," Jay whispered to himself after closing the trunk.

Everyone piled in as he drove to the hospital. Jay grabbed one of the guitars and walked inside as everyone else grabbed an instrument as well. He set them down outside the room and walked in like he normally did. "Morning lovely," he said, kissing you and holding your hand. "I have a surprise for you. But before that, let's just talk. I miss you. Even more every day. I keep thinking about those stupid deep things like the meaning of life, and how we should cherish it. But I still can't live without you. I wish I could've done even more with you, told you that I loved you earlier. Because I do. I love you. And I miss you so much it's impossible for me to smile until I see you. Please come back to me, I love you lovely. I'll always love you." He said, tears falling down his face.

You were crying on the inside. You knew he had meant every word and it hurt to not tell him the same thing.

"I wonder where you are. Are you still in your head? Or are you in heaven with the other angels? Because you are my angel. And maybe you healed me so well that God figured you had done your job, and he had decided to take you away. But I will never be healed without you. I am in love with you, you are my savior. You're the reason I'm breathing right now, lovely. I love you to the moon and back." Jay continued, crying hard.

'I love you so much more Jay' you wanted to say to him.

He saw a slight shiny quality on your cheeks. "Lovely? Have you been crying?" He asked, in shock. "Oh my god you have!" Jay said, suddenly excited. "I have never been so happy for your tears," he whispered, kissing you. He then ran outside, inviting everyone in. Oblivious to him, Nareesha had been recording the whole thing.

"We're ready when you are, Jay," Tom said. Jay wiped away his own tears and nodded, as they began playing the intro.

Everyone walked into your room, playing the music before Jay started singing.

"This is not gonna last forever

It's a time when you must hold on

And I won't let you surrender

And I'll heal you if you're broken," Jay sang.

"We can stand so tall together

We can make it through the stormy weather

We can go through it all together, do it all together, do it all," Nathan sang.

"I'll be your strength..." They all started singing the chorus.

You had never been more motivated to break down the walls between you and reality.

"I will, I will, I will," they continued singing.

You were fighting so hard right now. "LET ME GO!" You were screaming inside your head, "I NEED TO GET BACK!"

"I'll be your strength

Yes I will, yes I will," they sang.

"LET ME OUT!" You tried yelling.

"I won't sleep till the sky is calmer

Keep on searching till I found you

And my love will be your armor

In this battlefield around you." Jay sang.

"Hand in hand we walk together

We can make it through the stormy weather

We can break down walls together, do it all together, do it all," Nathan sang.
