Almost Is Never Enough
Chapter 61
You had grabbed a bunch of blankets and as soon as Jay came back to the couch, you snuggled into each other. Kelsey walked into the room and smiled at you two. "You guys are so cute," she whispered.
You smiled at her. "I brought you guys some popcorn," she said, placing the bowl in front of you two.
"Thanks Kels," you said, snuggling even closer into Jay's side. She smiled and nodded her head before leaving you two alone.
You continued watching the movie. Eventually you took out your phone to send out a tweet. "Movie night with the Bird:)"
Jay saw you type it and kissed your cheek. He took out his phone, copying the same message. "It works both ways you know," he said, smiling.
You pecked his lips and rested your head against his chest, watching the movie. "Hey you know that song Nath wrote for you?" Jay whispered.
"Yeah," you whispered. "It was cute."
"Well Scooter suggested he do it as a duet with Ariana Grande," Jay said.
"That's great!" You said.
"I'm thinking they might work...and he might move on," Jay whispered.
"Maybe..." You said, you were feeling a little jealous. Of course they would work, they'd be perfect. Jay noticed a slight change in your mood, but brushed it off as nothing. "That's awesome," you said.
Jay nodded his head and pulled you closer to him. You hugged him, watching the movie. In the movie, John was heartbroken when Savannah sent him a letter saying that she couldn't see him anymore because she found someone else.
You felt a tear drop onto your shoulder. "Jay, are you okay?" You asked him.
"They have to be together!" Jay said through his sobs. "They're perfect!"
You hugged Jay, trying to restrain your laughter. "It's not funny! She just left him while he was fighting in a war!" Jay said, tears falling off of his cheeks.
"Aww Jay, you're such a sweetie," you said. You hugged him tighter and kissed him gently, brushing his tears away.
He smiled a bit before pecking your lips. You straddled his waist and kissed him softly as he kissed you back. His hands grazed the back of your neck, running through your hair. Max walked into the room right at that moment. "Keep it for the bedroom," he joked.
"Well you should keep your moans for the bedroom," Jay said, "or maybe you should actually find a girl instead of fantasizing about mine."
Max bit his lip and blushed. "I can't control what I dream about. And seeing her naked twice doesn't help either," Max said.
"Doesn't mean you had to enjoy it!" Jay said.
"Well played mate, well played," Max said. "To be honest though, she's fit! It's really hard not to!"
"Oh lay off and gawk from a distance okay?" You said, pecking Jay's lips just for more insult.
Max went back up to his room, shaking his head in disgust. "Good job babe," Jay said, smiling.
"No problem," you said. You started kissing Jay again, roughly. Then, you suddenly pulled away.
"What's wrong love?" He asked, suddenly worried.
"Jay...I know this is going to sound conceited, but what if Max likes me?" You asked, worried.
"I don't think so. He thinks of you more as a sexy little sister," Jay said with a laugh.
