Almost Is Never Enough
Chapter 92
Nathan had woken up, admiring you as you were still asleep in his arms. He smiled at your sleeping figure, placing a soft kiss on your temple. Your eyes slowly fluttered open to see Nathan looking down at you, smiling. You smiled back at him and ruffled his hair a bit. He just laughed a little at your playfulness. "Morning again," he whispered, his arms still wrapped around you.
"Morning again bed head," you giggled. Nathan was absolutely in love with this moment. He was waking up with you in his arms, just like old times.
"Hang on love, you have something on your forehead," Nathan said, taking the folded sticky note off of your forehead, not knowing what was on it. He read it quickly and chuckled. "It's from Jay," he said, handing it to you.
You smiled at the note, but quickly realized what happened. He saw you two on the couch together, but didn't mind. It made you proud of him. You gave Nathan a hug, smiling. He hugged you back quickly. "We should get up," you mumbled. Nathan agreed and got off of the couch with you. "Thanks for keeping me warm," you said awkwardly.
"No problem love," Nathan said, his accent making you smile.
"I don't understand how you don't get more girls with that accent," you said, laughing.
"They all think I'm sixteen," Nathan laughed.
"It's alright, I've seen a couple people tweet me saying, 'aren't you a little underage to be dating Jay?'" You said, laughing.
Nathan just laughed some more. "Want me to make us some cuppas?" He asked.
"Yes please!" You said, smiling, "don't forget to squeeze before you pull out."
"And to let it tea bag for a couple minutes," Nathan chuckled.
"And absolutely positively," you began.
"NO LEMON IN THE TEA," you both said, before collapsing in a fit of laughter.
"God I love Jojo," Nathan laughed before getting up to go to the kitchen.
You went upstairs, happily walking into your room. "Hi Jay," you said as you walked into the room, sitting down next to him.
"Hey love," he said, noticing how happy you were.
You gave him a smile before kissing his cheek. "Thank you for this morning by the way," you said.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"I know you saw Nath and I on the couch; you put the sticky note on my forehead. I just wanted to say thanks for not getting jealous. I'm proud of you, Bird," you said.
Jay felt guilty. He had gotten jealous. You smiled at him before pecking his lips. "Let's go downstairs so we can snuggle up in some blankets," you said.
Jay nodded. You were really happy with him, but he felt like he was lying to you. You took his hand in yours and led him downstairs. You had sat down on the couch, patting the spot next to you. He sat down next to you, pulling the blankets over your heads and making you giggle like a little girl. Jay kissed you underneath the blankets. "How about we make this even better? Do you want to make a fort?" Jay asked, showing his inner child.
"OH MY GOD YES!" You said, standing up and taking him by the hand.
He laughed and left to get you two more blankets. You grabbed some couch cushions and chairs, making the frame of the fort. With the blankets you had with you, you had laid them over the couch and chairs, making the roof of your fort. Jay came back and put covers inside the fort, making it comfy. You were actually getting excited over this. You set up pillows and cushions on the couch with blankets surrounding them.
