Almost Is Never Enough
Chapter 50
After everyone went upstairs to their rooms, Nathan slowly went up the stairs, passing your room on the way. He tried not to look into your room, but failed because he glanced over and saw you and Jay kissing on his bed. He bit his lip and looked away, wanting so hard to get over you, but thinking that it was impossible.
He slowly started to walk towards his room, the picture of you two kissing still in his mind, unable to leave. He opened his door and closed it as he let a tear escape his eye. "Fuck," he whispered, banging on the door. "Why? Why does everything bad happen to me?!?" He whisper-screamed.
"Just one fucking time I wanted the girl that made me feel confident, made me feel loved." He muttered, picking up a book and throwing it at the closet door.
"And she doesn't even want me!" He yelled, slamming his fist into the wall.
"Nath, you okay mate?" Siva asked, walking into the room.
Nathan didn't turn around, his fists against the wall. He was breathing hard. "Nath, are you okay?" Siva asked again, concerned.
"Do I look okay?!?" Nathan yelled at him, turning around.
"Woah Nath calm down," Siva said, slightly scared.
"And why should I?!?" Nathan yelled, throwing more books at the closet door.
"Nathan stop," Siva said, grabbing his arms and restraining him.
"GET OFF ME!!!" Nathan screamed at him.
"NATH SERIOUSLY CALM DOWN!" Siva yelled. Siva never yelled. Ever.
"NO!!!" Nathan yelled, breaking free of his grasp.
Siva tackled him to the bed and pinned him down. "Now you're going to tell me what's wrong," he said.
"EVERYTHING IS!!!" Nathan yelled.
"Nathan please, just breathe. Stop yelling. Breathe okay? Everything is going to be fine. You'll move on from her and find someone you love even more," Siva said.
"WHY SHOULD I?!? Nothing is going to be fine without her and you wanna know why?!? Because I won't move on from her and I won't find someone I love more than her because no matter how much I tell myself to move on I can't!" Nathan yelled.
"Nathan, of course you can! There's someone better for you out there, believe me." Siva said.
"NO THERE'S NOT SIVA! You all don't understand. Nobody understands. I don't even know why I bother with you people, you're not helping me at all." Nathan said.
"Nathan, we're seriously trying to! There's not much we can do to help though!" Siva said.
"Yeah? Because from what I know, you all wanted them together from the start. Nobody even tried to keep us together or be on my side. So you're seriously trying to tell me you're helping?" Nathan spat.
"We all wanted whoever she wanted," Siva said, crossing his arms. "It's really annoying that you won't just accept it. Now come talk to me when you're done having a bitch fit." With that, Siva left the room. Nathan put his head in his hands, completely frustrated. He got up and punched a wall, bruising his knuckles from the hit.
You had heard all of the screaming from your room and had started to cry. "Shhh baby it's okay, just let it all out," Jay whispered to you as he went over and hugged you.
"I wish I hadn't hurt him so much," you said through sobs. Jay didn't know how to respond to that, he just hugged you. He then thought of an idea, he'd seen Nathan do it lots of times to calm you down. He started singing.
