Almost Is Never Enough
Chapter 119
Jay led you upstairs, and you got changed out of your hospital gown. "What do you want to do for the rest of the day? I just want to spend it with you," you said.
"Not sure lovely," Jay said.
"Well can I spend it with just you?" You asked, coming closer to him and wrapping your arms around him. He smiled, and buried his head in the crook of your shoulder, wrapping his arms around you also. "Can I?" You whispered.
"Of course," Jay said.
You smiled against his chest and hugged him a little tighter. He leaned down and pressed his lips against yours. You smiled into it and did the same. "I love you," you mumbled against his lips.
"I know," he said, pulling away and winking.
You rolled your eyes at him. "Let's go downstairs," you said, taking his hand. He followed you down the stairs, and once you reached the last step, he kissed your hand. You smiled at him and pecked his cheek.
"So why are we coming down here?" Jay asked.
"I don't know. But can we go back to that field?" You asked hopefully.
"Good idea..." Jay smiled, and went to grab some food before getting the car keys as well. You both walked out to the car and he started it up. He leaned over to kiss you gently before starting to drive.
"What have we got here?" You asked, looking at the bag of food.
"Oh you know, just your favorites," Jay said.
"Jay...why did you bring a jar of Nutella and a spoon?" You asked, laughing slightly.
"Because that's one of my favorites," Jay laughed.
You shook your head at him. "Don't judge me. This stuff is good," Jay said.
"Whatever you say bird..." You said
You snapped a picture and tweeted it out. "When @JayTheWanted packs a snack..."
You turned on the radio. "SO WAKE ME UP WHEN IT'S ALL OVER," blasted.
"When I'm wiser and I'm older!" You sang.
"All this time I was finding myself and I, didn't know I was lost..." Jay sang, smiling at you. You leaned over and kissed his cheek, entwining your fingers together.
You finally arrived at the field, and it was already late afternoon. "Wow. I was in the hospital a long time..." You said, holding his hand.
"Too long. You were away for way too long," Jay said.
You looked at him and kissed his cheek. "I promise I'll never leave again..." You said.
"Really?" Jay asked.
"Really," you said.
He put his hands on your hips and kissed you again. Your hands found their way into his hair, running through it as you kissed him back. His hand slipped under your shirt, the other one running through your hair as well.
"Jay..." You mumbled against his lips, before kissing them again.
"Yes?" He mumbled.
You didn't say anything, you just continued to kiss him. He kissed your neck lightly, and then pulled away. You then connected your lips with his once more. "Love you Jay," you said.
"Love you too," he smiled.
You both sat down on the grass and Jay unpacked the food. You smiled and grabbed a cracker quickly. "You must be hungry," Jay smirked.
