Almost Is Never Enough
Chapter 93
You both got changed quickly for the charity gig. "Are you excited for the charity gig?" You asked.
"Very. I love doing gigs like this," Jay said.
"The kids are gonna be so cute!" You said.
"I know! I love kids," Jay smiled.
"Were you hinting at something there, McGuiness?" You said, smirking.
"Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't," Jay smirked.
You laughed at him and he joined in the laughter. "No kids for me yet, Jay. That factory doesn't open for a while..." You said.
"Awww boo," Jay joked.
"I'm 20, Jay. Get over it." You said, laughing.
"I was joking, lovely," Jay said. "We'll have kids only when you're ready."
"Thanks bird," you said, holding his hand. "Shall we go downstairs?"
"We shall," Jay said, taking you downstairs.
You saw a tweet from Max. "I swear to god if I hear the PDA lovers say 'I love you' one more time I'm going to rip my ears off."
You decided to tweet him back. "So I guess your ears are on the ground now...?"
Jay tweeted him back also saying, "That's taking your ear fetish a bit far now isn't it?" You laughed at Jay's tweet before turning your phone off.
"Is everyone ready?" You asked.
"Probably," Jay said as you followed him into the kitchen.
"Nath's not ready yet...as usual," Tom said.
"He's probably fixing his hair," you joked.
"Probably," Tom agreed, laughing.
Jay turned on the radio and 'Mirrors' was playing. "Nice one, Bird," you laughed.
He offered you a hand. "Wanna dance, lovely?" He asked. "And by dance I mean trip and fall."
"I'll help you," you laughed, as you took his hand and put your other on his shoulder. You slowly stepped, making sure Jay kept his balance. "I'm proud of you, Jay. You haven't tripped yet," you joked.
"You're the best dance teacher I've ever had," he said, laughing. He started humming along.
"I better be. I'm the only one who never gave up on you 5 minutes in," you joked.
Jay smiled at you and looked down, concentrating on his feet. "It's like you're my mirror...my mirror staring back at me," he sang softly.
"I couldn't get any bigger, with anyone else beside of me," you sang along.
"And now it's clear as this promise, that we're making, two reflections into one," Jay sang.
"'Cause it's like your my mirror, my mirror staring back at me, staring back at me," you sang.
"Aren't you something an original
'Cause it doesn't seem like merely a sample
And I can't help but stare 'cause I see truth somewhere in your eyes
I can't ever change without you
You reflect me I love that about you
And if I could, I would look at us all the time," Jay sang, smiling at you.
