"Oh, there she is again."

You froze, clinging onto your books tightly. The familiar sound of footsteps came towards you, their judging stares piercing into your back.

"How cute, she thinks if she ignores us we'll go away!"

Begrudgingly, you looked up to meet the faces that you had come to fear. You had done nothing to bother them, yet they still came to talk you down almost daily.

The leader of the group smirked, slamming her hand on the locker door. You jumped at the sound, eyes squeezed shut. Your actions caught the attention of the rest of the group, the sight making them laugh.

"Hey, do you think we can make her cry this time?" Her friend tittered, smiling down at you. The leader scoffed. "Of course, when does the bitch not cry?"

Her response made her friends laugh. You only stared down at your shoes. It was your second pair, as the ones you had previously 'mysteriously' disappeared. That's what you told your parents, but you knew what happened after seeing the smoke rise from the incinerator at a irregular time.

With a snarky laugh, the leader pushed you and you felt the ground, the books you were holding onto so tightly like they were your lifeline falling out of your hands.

"Geez, what a mess. You'll have to clean that up, okay?" She said with a faux sweet smile, her followers bursting into laughter. Fortunately for you though, they simply walked away from you. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding, blinking hard.

The bell rang, so you picked up your books in silence, sniffling.

Class time would be peaceful for you if it wasn't for one of your bullies being in your class. She wouldn't try anything during class, but after while people were distracted she'd snatch up your notebooks and discard then under rubbish in the bin. Sometimes someone else who was part of the little gang they formed came in to your class and would write words on your desk, making you rub diligently at the marks until they disappeared.

Thing like this were so often they became almost routine for you. A smile was no longer on your face as you came to school, instead your expression was blank, hoping you'd somehow be able to turn invisible and nobody would notice you. For a while, a lot of people didn't.

It was lonely, but you convinced yourself it was for the best. Until eventually someone sat down next to you at lunch.

Your bullies had started to smack your food out of your hands whenever you ate, leaving you to go hungry. So, you decided to eat at different places a round the school. Today you decided on eating by the field as people only really used it for after school activities.

It was quiet as you expected, until you heard some sort of... Chanting?

"Muscle, muscle! Hustle, hustle!!"

It was somewhat rhythmic. You stayed silent, listening closely. It got louder, and soon you saw a boy your age marching down the field with a bat in hand. After a while he stopped and took position, then swung his bat as hard as he could.

You watched in awe, seeing his determination this far away. After a while he stopped, wiping his forehead with his sleeve. He suddenly paused, looking as if new as sniffing the air. You blinked, and he was right in front of you.

His sudden appearance frightened you, causing a shriek to escape your lips. He looked panicked.

"Oh! Sorry, sorry!"
