The sounds of clicks from your keyboard due to your frequent tapping resounded throughout your quiet room, the screen the only source of light in the darkness. Time seemed to pass by so quickly, especially with this new game you were playing.

You happened to hear about it and decided to try it for yourself, quickly becoming hooked. It seemed like the same could be said with others judging from the amount of avatars you saw. You couldn't blame them either; any free time you had was quickly spent on this game. 

So far you've just been levelling up and looking for loot, hoping to come across a good weapon. While you were at a pretty good level, spending all your time grinding and moving up into harder areas meant that the weapons you had on hand were quickly becoming useless against stronger foes.

You were running out of healing items, too... The area you were currently in was a labyrinth, so while looking for an exit it was easy to run into enemies. You weren't going to give up though, not when you spent so long getting to this point! 

... That was your thought in mind, but jeez were they strong! You hands started to feel sweaty as you looked over your options. These enemies had high agility, so attempting to run away would most likely just turn out to be a wasted turn. 

You hummed to yourself as you thought out your strategy. 'It'd be a gamble, but I have just enough sp for that move.'

With a final tap on your keyboard, you watched as your character attacked with gusto! 

"... Missed?!" Was your shocked outburst, and you leant forward. 

It started out as an even battle, but due to your failed attempt, the tables turned and the enemies had the upper hand. You covered your eyes but still peeked through the spaces of your fingers, watching anxiously. 

If you died now, then all those hours would be for nothing! 

As expected your foes fought without mercy, and you were in trouble. Your health meter was dangerously low, and you had to wait a turn until you were able to heal! 

While you were waiting for your unavoidable death with a heavy heart and an overwhelming amount of silent saltiness, a ray of light flooded over your character, and your health meter grew full again. It seemed as if a miracle was unfolding before your very tired eyes! 

Another avatar in a cloak, similarly dressed to the default healer's clothing in the starter menu appeared by your side, a rod in hand with a glowing sphere at the top. 

You wouldn't have been able to explain the utter joy that you felt as your character was healed, the avatar simply doing an idle pose next to you. The next enemy had their turn, but with a healer so close by, all fear of losing your levels faded away. 

The turns reset and you quickly turned the battle around in your favour, your saviour casting a buff spell to increase your defence. It took a little time, but your foes were eventually defeated. With it being a tough battle, you were rewarded with more than worth it items!

Before picking them up, you typed into the box on the left.

'Thank you!! You should take some too!'

'Me? Are you sure?'

'Obviously, take em!'

His character was a little slow in waking towards the loot, as if the person controlling was hesitant in doing so. With some more egging from you, he finally took some.

'You too, you did all the work.' 

You made your avatar do a wacky supportive pose, smiling when he returned it with one of his own. After taking the other half, you looked through your inventory with a grin. Quickly typing into the chat box once again, you gave him your utmost thanks.
