Choromatsu x Reader [Nursery AU]

"Okay honey, I'll come pick you up later, okay?" Your mother told you gently. 

You nodded, but continued to hold onto her hand tightly. She only smiled at you, walking you inside the nursery. 

Inside was warm and welcoming. The walls were painted with pastel colours, toys littered across the soft carpet. As you both entered a person who worked there approached you two with a friendly smile.

"Hi! What's your name?" He asked, kneeling down to meet your eyes.

You shyly looked away. "... Y/n." 

"What a nice name! Is this your first day?" 

Your mother answered for you. "It is! She's a little quiet at first though."

The two of them chatted for a while, your death grip on your mother's hand not faltering. Eventually she had to go, and it took everything for you to not cry. She promised she'd come back to get you, so it soothed your worries a bit.

"Since it's the first day, you can just get used to the place. There's a lot of toys you can play with, but make sure to share!" The assistant told you. 

You nodded, looking around the room. A set of toys caught your eye at the corner of your eye, so you walked over. 

While momentarily distracted by the colourful toys, you heard sets of voices loudly call out. 

"I don't waaaana stay here. Are you listening?!" 

When you turned your head, you saw six boys, standing around their very tired-looking mother.

"Todomatsu, please just be good."

"I'm Osomatsu!!"

The assistant from before spoke to them as he did with you, but the five rowdy boys had a hard time listening. One looked to be trying to calm them, but to no avail. 

You tried to resume playing, but their were too loud. Eventually you sighed, decided to just watch the as they were pretty entertaining to watch.

Their conversation was hard to hear, but you could guess they were getting dropped off just like you. When their mother left, they paired up in groups of two and scattered. 

For a while you had some peace and quiet, when one of them approached you.

"Hey, are you stuck here too? What're you doing?" He questioned with quickness. His voice sounded like the loud boy from earlier.

"... Yeah. I'm playing with these." You pointed to the toys in font of you.

The boy picked it up from your hands, inspecting it with interest. 

Another one with the same face came over, a stern frown on his small face.

"Osomatsu! You can't do that!" He scolded, grabbing the toy from his brother's hands. Osomatsu (you assumed) snatched it back, and from there it turned into a game of tug-or-war.

You were starting to feel anxious, what could you do? You didn't even know them, but you didn't want them to fight. Plus the toy looked like it would break any second!

"Um... Uh, s-stop... Stop it!!" You raised your voice. Out of surprise they both released their grip, the toy falling to the floor. 

When they looked back at you with wide eyes, you directed your gaze to the floor. "Don't fight, we can share!"

Osomatsu nodded as his brother simply stared at you. "Okay! But there's only one... Hey, let's play hide and seek!"

"Oh, okay!" You agreed, getting up from floor.
