Waiting for him and her younger sister at the inn, was Misuki. "Took you long enough to take care of them Sis..." She said visibly bored out of her mind when they returned.

"Looks like none of them made it up here..." Kanrish said to the bored sneer from Misuki.

"Hey easy Misuki, we're trying to protect the village not get our kicks for combat..." He replied, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Fine I get it... it definitely is a good thing... but I feel so useless..." She retorted and Kanrish shook his head.

"Keeping guard over a group of unarmed people in here was not useless, the chances are bigger that if we'd all gone out there, they would have raided the inn." He added.

Her only reply to that was a deep sigh and the acknowledgement of the fact.

"For now let's get inside and see what else we can do to help here... since we are the main back up forces they have now..." Kanrish spoke as he stepped up to the door and Ayame came rushing out.

"Kanrish-Sama, did you get hurt?" Her voice was filled with worry and dread as she ran past Misuki and wrapped her arms around him.

"Baka, giving him all the credits... I killed more slavers than he did... hmph..." Akane sneered at the sight and Kanrish shook his head at her in discontent.

"Let's get back inside. Its safe now at least... I'm pretty certain these slavers won't be back for a while..." He suggested while the young elf let go of his waist and trotted back inside, happy her master was unharmed.

Inside, the locals had gathered and Kanrish realized they had been fleeing their homes to hide in the inn protected by Misuki and Hapii en masse.

From the looks of it, at least half the remaining villagers were here.

"Is anyone injured?" Kanrish asked and a young girl with fox ears, flat against her head came running up to him. "My little brother is hurt, please sir..." She said with teary eyes.

"It's okay, that's why I asked... now let's go see him." Kanrish said and the fox girl led him to the back of the room where her parents sat cradling a ball of bloodied clothes.

"Let's get him onto a bedroll first, makes it easier to work..." Kanrish said pulling one of their bedrolls from his bag and unrolling it in front of the parents.

"Please lay him down for a moment, I'll heal him." He said while the little girl next to him stood staring at her parents with wet begging eyes, hands clasped in front of her.

Reluctantly to lay their injured son down for this stranger, the couple nodded after a few tense moments and the boy was laid down onto the bedroll revealing a lot of serious injuries.

That's why they were reluctant; they had already given up on him...

Kanrish could not help the thought and added aloud, "Don't worry kid, you'll be alright..." Kanrish prepared {Cure Wounds} into his {Quick Cast} and set the level parameter to '6'.

"Here we go, this will hurt but then I can start the actual healing..." He said making sure the kid's broken arm and leg were in a good position to properly heal.

Once everything was good to go, he placed his hands over the kid's head and chest and activated his spell.

The wave of light that rolled over the boy was bright and his right ear, which had been torn half off his head healed up immediately, regrowing the torn away tissue instantly.

His left arm where the bone came piercing the skin healed up perfectly as the bone molded itself back into his arm and sealed up the wound.

It started to look like he could have saved a lot of time, and pain for the kid, by not adjusting the position of his broken arm and leg, but Kanrish was rather safe than sorry in this kind of case.
