After breakfast had been finished, the group made their way to the store ran by Herla, the female gnome, to settle the deal on their carriage and other purchases.

With the same warm greeting as the day before, the gnomish woman stepped out from the desk she was working at.

"Ah, you came, you came. Follow me please. Everything will be checked by staff one final time after everything has been signed and payment is taken care of."

She cheerily walked into a room to the side of the building and sat down on a single seat.

Opposite to her were a large sofa and a table between them.

"Who will sign the paperwork?" Herla asked with a smile, looking around the room at her clients.

"I guess that'll be me... since our dear hubby can't read and write... Tee-hee." Lyya giggled at Kanrish's illiteracy in the world of Liria.

"Okasan that's mean..." Ayame called out with an angry look in her eyes.

"It's just a joke and he can read and write stuff we can't comprehend. But it was a bit too much, yes. Sorry dear." Lyya's apology was quickly accepted by the young elven girl.

With the signing of the ownership papers they 'officially' owned the carriage and horses.

Moving on the group received full instructions on how to mix the different feeds for the horses.

How to tend them and were given a training on how to properly steer the carriage.

The steering had never been a problem but that was for a short travel in a one-horse carriage, this was a two-horse carriage. And with only one person with the know-how, any long journeys would be going to prove troublesome.

So with the exception of two of their group received the crash-course, one of them being left out was Hapii. The only other person than the girl who obviously could not participate since, no hands, was Kanrish.

He had Misuki relay to Lyya why and no-one minded it, since he was their main means of security on the road.

After a long afternoon of training everyone into the basics of driving the carriage, they returned to Herla's shop and found the carriage they had bought with all their supplies loaded into it, all ready for the definitive hand-over.

With the green-lit agreement from the instructor of that day, Herla handed over the papers for both the horses and the carriage and their 'receipt'.

Although it was more a list of the inventory loaded into the carriage's bed. It did list everything and the price they had paid, so basically a receipt.

The next morning, as they rode out the town with the gnome Herla waving, she called after them, "May your travels be swift 'n' safe under the eyes of the Father!"

"The hell does that mean?" Kanrish asked surprised and Lyya smiled at the sound of the old prayer.

"Thank you!" She called from the wagon bed and snuggled against Kanrish.

"This town is one of the smaller towns with their own religion. The Ancient Father was said to have helped a bunch of wood elves settle and is more akin a Saint than an actual deity. But the people here do have their faith centered on him more than the other gods." Lyya explained as Kanrish had begun typing away.

With the carriage rolling along the road south west, Kanrish sat, or more lay, working on his {Code Console}.

The occasional grunt came from him, but not much more as he tried to figure out a few details for his current project.
