After Akane had explained the 'events' of that night to Kanrish over breakfast, he was utterly stunned.

"We might need to consider letting you study magic, if you feel you're up for it and want to." He spoke, looking calmly at Alcea.

"I-I-I c-could not expect such a grand gesture... p-please don't impair for me..." She spoke in stuttered reply. Something that left Akane, Misuki and Lyya especially to giggle at the girl's response.

"D-d-did I say something weird? I'm sure I said something weird. P-please don't mind me, I'm simply travelling along." Alcea tried to hide her embarrassment at the giggles around her.

"Alcea, Dear. Don't worry. Dad asked you that since he knows we can afford it. I think Misuki might be able to get you familiarized with the basics. I know Lyya is a cleric in terms of magic use, but not officially since she never studied in a temple for it. Akane is obviously an absolute monster of a necromancer and battle mage in that regard. And let's not mention Dad's broken magic. Although I think that's one you won't be able to learn, though." Emiko replied with a soft giggle as she realized what had her mothers giggling so much and so loudly.

"R-r-really...?" Alcea asked worriedly and Kanrish nodded, without hesitation. He had already decided when they accepted Alcea along for the ride and as a member of their family, that should she discover where he specialty lay in combat, he would facilitate for her to learn and that same went for any skill she wished to learn. But that was so long as she wanted.

Should she express the desire to not learn, nor never discover, either way, he would accept her choice. It would mean she would at all times have protection around in one form or another, though.

"I don't mind spending some money for study books if you want to learn magic. And I agree that Misuki being a Demi-Goddess over the Magic domain and life domain she can teach you a lot." Kanrish replied and Alcea began to shine with joy and excitement.

"But for now, we need to move out again. Aelanna, I'll join you in the driver's seat to navigate. Pack camp everyone, we're hunting some bandits." Kanrish spoke calmly yet firmly.

They all knew he was serious about continuing the search as it was a paid quest they were on. One they had to finish before the offered aid to the village of Thornshade could be fulfilled.

Half the day, they had spent in the carriage again.

Ayame and Emiko had prepared simple bread sandwiches at Kanrish request while the rest was packing up. He had asked so to prepare for a lunch on the move. It would save them time and meant they might catch the bandits by the afternoon the next day.

He had found them on his vastly expanded {Map Search Engine MK.III} and made sure to mark them and kept the function active as they made their way through the denser forest they were in now.

Overall, the surroundings hadn't really changed. Still trees as far and high as the eye could see. Shrubbery underneath fighting for the sparse few small specks of light that were coming down from the canopy.

Simple dirt roads that made the travels anywhere near possible.

And of course the most deadly wildlife Liria had to offer. The last one he personally could have done without, but they made good target practice for Ayame at the moment.

With the warm weather and absence of rain lately, they had chosen to remove the canopy from the carriage and tied the bundle of canvas that it left to the side where they could easily pull it back up if needed.

While they rode, Ayame swiftly noticed and took down four wolves shortly after they left the campsite from the day before.

During lunch, still riding along, she had sniped a wild flare wyvern from the skies and left it plummeting through the branches of the trees.
