Lyya sat in their living room with Ayame and Aelanna, who sat reading a book for a change.

"I didn't know you enjoyed the literary arts as well?" Lyya asked and Aelanna looked up from the book, a tome of over a thousand pages thick.

"Well, guess you learnt something then. I do enjoy a good book every now and then. Did you think all I cared for was a good battle?" Aelanna asked with a smirk on her face.

"N-not like that. I just didn't take you for a reading fan."

"Kasan, stop bullying Obasan." Ayame remarked and the group looked around in a surprised motion.

The loud noise of a {teleportation} spell filled the mansion and immediately after the heartbroken wailing of a young girl followed.

Lyya leapt to her feet, while Aelanna shrugged and continued to read.

"Guess Onee got the bad ending." Ayame muttered while Lyya left the living room and found Kanrish and Hapii dumbfounded in the middle of the {Circle of Teleportation} that was etched into their foyer.

"Wh-what happened?" Lyya asked and Kanrish sighed.

"Rejection, that happened." He said a tad defeated and Lyya nodded silently as she looked for the stairs where Emiko's wailing now came from.

"She ran straight for her room once the spell settled here. Maybe you should check on her, Dear." Kanrish spoke and Lyya nodded.

"I know all too well how she feels, in a way." She said and paced up the curved stairs with a strong and steady gait.

"Will Onee be alright?" Hapii asked Kanrish, looking at him quizzically and Kanrish nodded.

"She'll live. She still has her feelings for Alcea. The girl just needs time to process this rejection. The harpy girl was her first crush if I got my facts right." Kanrish remarked and guided Hapii into the living room with him.

"Tosan!" Ayame chimed as she saw him and leapt to her feet and hugged him.

"I guess Onee had bad luck with the harpy-chan?" She asked and Kanrish nodded.

"I called Hapii over for a tactical retreat once your sister came running to me in tears. It took me seven minutes to figure out the incoherent wailing's meaning. Well what she was saying exactly that is. I kinda figured the girl said 'no' but didn't want to jump the gun on that." Kanrish replied and Ayame nodded.

"She still has Alcea-chan. She'll be fine." She added and hopped back into the seat she had leapt from.

"I thought the girl would have a bit more luck with the girl she went looking for, actually." Aelanna said without looking up from her book.
