Chapter 17. Unveiling Secrets Part 1

Andreas's P.O.V

I had been feeling awful since the moment i had rejected Noah and it felt like Layla had been taking advantage of the whole situation. She started constantly filling my mind with negative thoughts about the whole Lockwood family and her whole behavoir was driving me crazy. I couldn't help but ask myself if she was doing this because she was hiding something from me. I knew that i had told Noah to leave me alone but i kept feeling his pain throughout the day and Gael was pushing me to talk to Noah again.

I couldn't believe it when my mother told me that she had booked a table for Layla and me at the most popular restaurant in town when i came home after rejecting Noah that day. I remember asking my mother then in anger why she did that because it felt like i was celebrating the fact that i had rejected Noah but my mother simply replied to me then with "Because Layla and you will be starting your life as a mated couple today".

 "Forget it" i yelled at her and then added "I already told you that i won't mate with Layla until i turn eighteen and if dad and you keep this up then i'll leave this house and go live at the pack house. I wonder what Layla will do then". My mother was fuming with anger but still agreed with me to wait to mate with Layla despite Layla's objections.

I still had to take Layla to the restaurant because my mother didn't want the reservation to go to waste. It was hard to get a table at that restaurant because it was owned by the famous chef Mark Murray. Everybody knew that Mark was Nathan Murray's brother, the delta of the Silverstone pack and that Mark gave up his position as delta to follow his passion of cooking so everybody knew how powerful Mark actually was.

Layla was over the moon by the news and texted all her friends to brag about our so called date while i just wanted to close myself off in my room because i couldn't get Noah out of my head. Layla kept holding my hand and kept talking about our future during the whole dinner while i absentmindedly sat there. I couldn't wait to go home to wallow in self pity because i missed Noah so much. Why did things have to end like this and why did he do this to me i kept asking myself over and over again.

I received a text just after our dinner from Stuart saying that he was with a bunch of our friends at the bowling alley. He asked me if i wanted to join them and i agreed because i really needed some distraction. Layla obviously disagreed with me because she wanted to have a romantic walk in the park with me but i didn't care about her feelings at that moment. I drove to the bowling alley after paying our bill and smiled to myself when i noticed Sebastian playing pool with Will a boy we both knew from school.

I immediately walked up to Sebastian then asked him "Can i talk to you Sebastian?" Sebastian looked startled at me but when he realized that i was in distress he instantly put his cue down then said "I'll be right back" to Will who groaned as response. Sebastian chuckled at him then yelled "It's your win Will now go find yourself another opponent". "Yes" yelled Will triumphantly then started doing a victory dance.

 I couldn't help but chuckle at Will while Sebastian shook his head at him. Sebastian then threw his arm around my shoulder and said "Let's go to the private room so we can talk in peace". I nodded with my head at him then quickly scanned the room to see where Layla was. I sighed in relief when i saw her chatting away with a few of her friends. She's probably bragging to them about how delicious our dinner at the most popular restaurant in town was i said to myself while shaking my head.

Sebastian took a seat on the sofa the moment we reached the private room and he then asked me "What's up?" while folding his hands together. I took a seat next to him then answered his question with "I'm in love with Noah Lockwood". I could hear Sebastian's heart skip a beat when he heard my reply and he then asked me when he had calmed himself down "But isn't Layla your mate?" I sighed then said while leaning back on the sofa "I thought so too but the moment i laid my eyes on Noah i was smitten with him. It feels like we share a bond together and my wolf Gael is crazy about him too".
