It was after school, Hope and Astrid were staying after to work out what song they would sing for the upcoming talent show audition
"What about 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainor and John Legend?" Hope asked
"I call Meghan's part then." Astrid responded, "You know the chords?"
"Astrid, you try spending a month in a hospital after losing your left leg below the knee as well as a lot of blood. I needed something to keep myself occupied while I was in there."
"Okay" Astrid chuckled "start it up."
*start song*
"I found myself dreaming
In silver and gold
Like a scene from a movie
That every broken heart knows" Astrid started singing as Hope strummed her guitar and sang the last line

"I woke up in tears

The truth is you never know" Hiccup walked in and started singing

Any chance that I get

And love with no regrets" Hiccup pulled up a chair and sat down with Astrid and Hope
"Let's take our time to say what we want
Here's what we got before it's all gone

'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time" Astrid, Hope and Hiccup all sang together

Hope strummed the final chord of the song
"Hiccup, you're auditioning with us, and you can't try to get out of it." Hope said, putting her guitar back in its case
"Why?" Hiccup whined
"Because that was amazing!" Astrid exclaimed
"I don't know."
"Oh come on Hiccup! Please!" Hope begged as she started strapping on her skates
"Please?" Astrid asked
"Fine. I'll do it. But then both of you owe me." Hiccup pointed a finger at the both of them
"Deal." Hope put on her case using the backpack straps
"Let's go." Astrid grabbed her backpack and skateboard
"Alright. When are auditions?" Hiccup asked, Hope's hand on his shoulder for balance
"Next week." Hope answered
"I think I'm free."
"What were you doing here anyway?" Astrid asked as she slid down the railing of the stairs
"Art Club" Hiccup replied
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Was Mr. T wondering where I was?" Hope slid down the railing as well
"Yeah. I told him that you were practicing for auditions though. He says good luck." Hiccup replied
"Okay, I'll tell him thanks."
"Well, let's head out, we have exams tomorrow." Astrid pushed open the door
"Ugh. Exams!" Hope groaned
"It'll be fine." Hiccup reassured
"Well, see you guys later. Bye Hiccup." Astrid kissed Hiccup's cheek before heading off
"Bye Astrid!" Hiccup shouted after her
And Hiccup didn't really mind. Hope, Astrid, and Hiccup got into the talent show, and it was the best performance they've done
