Gold Streak (4) - B.B.

"Bucky? You in position?"

"Yes," Bucky whispered into his comm.

He's inside an abandoned warehouse up in a loft looking down at the arms deal taking place with the scope of his sniper rifle. Something spooks the dealer which is Clint's fault and he starts firing at a wall. Bucky pulls the trigger and you catch the bullet in your hand. You speed up to the loft.

Before Bucky can react, you start moving your fingers by his temples and they give off a golden aura.

Flashback

Bucky had just gotten his metal arm and he's terrified. He's cold. He's wet. He's miserable. Him falling just keeps replaying in his head and it scares him so much.

The cell opens and the guards thrown in a little girl. You're crying hysterically and Bucky is shocked. He's been trying to find for a year but Steve was getting close to ending it all with Hydra. It just hurts him so much that you're here with him. He doesn't want that for you at all. It's not a life for an 8 year old.

Bucky quickly comes to you and wrapped his flesh arm around you. He kissed the top of your head. You turned around and cried into his chest.

"B-Bucky..."

"You're not safe, Doll. I'm sorry..."

You took a step back. That was the worst day of his life and yours. Bucky collapsed to the ground and you were in shock. You ran out scared shitless. Tears streamed down your cheeks as you breezed past everything around. You couldn't believe it. You just couldn't.

"Buck! Bucky! Come in!" Steve yelled into his comm fighting guards.

(Time skip)

Bucky clutches on tightly to the blanket wrapped around him and he's shaking. He's in the corner of the jet sitting on the bench with his knees to his chest. Steve is worried about his friend. He's never seen Bucky like this except when he has a very very bad panic attack or anxiety attack. He knows it's bad.

"You okay, man?" Sam asked softly getting onto the jet.

Bucky shakes his head no and tears streamed down his face. He wanted his little Polish buddy to be okay but he doesn't know if you're even alive. He blames himself for not getting you out of Hydra.

"Steve, we-we gotta find t-the Polish girl," Bucky said looking at Steve with his eyes red and tears brimming.

"Okay, Buck, we'll see what we can do," Steve said. "Did you see who did this to you?"

"I-it was a girl but she w-was fast and h-had gold coming off her like P-Pietro," Bucky said. "She's l-like e-e-early 20s."

Steve nodded.

"So, we've got another enhanced to catch," Natasha muttered.
