Imagine: You're tasked with breaking out the Winter Soldier. You are apart of Coulson's team on the Bus.

You already disabled a couple guards and made it to the lab. The Winter Soldier is being tortured with chains. They're using them like whips against his skin. His blood is just everywhere and covering most of his body. He's shirtless and only wearing boxer brief. He's curled up in a ball crying since he doesn't understand what he did or why he's there. He doesn't even know who he is.

It broke your heart and you had to work quickly. You put your hood up and pulled up the fabric that covers your lower half of your face. You burst into the room shooting his torturers who just dumped cold water on him. Hydra agents started coming after you and you fought back hard. Even though, you're just a 22 year old girl, they didn't stand a chance. You've been preparing for this mission for awhile.

"HIT THE ALARMS!" An agent yelled.

Someone hit the red button but no alarm went off. You had already disabled them and that made you smirk. You shot both of them in the head and made your way to Bucky.

He's absolutely terrified. He's covering his ears cause the bullets scare him and he's sobbing. He's begging everything to end and his face is all scrunched.

"Lets get you out of here, James," you said removing one of his hands from his ears.

He opened his eyes and you shot a guy in between the eyes as you looked Bucky in the eyes. The sound startled him.

"Look, I know this is fucking scary but we got 10 minutes to get to the extraction point and there's a whole hell of a lot more bad guys coming," You said pulling down the fabric covering your mouth. "And I can't let you die here. I'll do all the work, I just need you to come with me."

You held out your hand to him and he took it. You helped the 220 pound man up. He's barely able to stand on his own to feet. You put yourself under his flesh arm to give him the much needed support.

You guys make out your way out of the lab and you get a bullet graze in your arm. You hissed in pain and shot the fellow who shot you.

You managed to get your Soldier out of there and your running in the snow to the extraction point. He's bare foot and cold but he's willing to keep going for you.

You run onto the ramp of the Bus and are greeted by Fitz and Simmons. Simmons covers Bucky with a blanket and you lead him into the lab. May takes off and Coulson comes down as you have Bucky sit in a chair.

"Nice work, Y/n," Coulson said as Bucky is looking at you still terrified and not knowing who everyone is.

You take off your hood and asked, "you've got his dog tags?"

Coulson hands them to you and you put them over Bucky's head. He's shivering still and Bucky is looking at the tags. You took off your backpack which Coulson took. You ran your hands through Bucky's wet hair and you could finally see his face.

"Sergeant Barnes, it's a pleasure to finally get you out of Hydra's grasp. Your best friend, Steve, will be glad to have you back," Coulson said.

"S-Steve?" He asked and those were the first words he's spoken at all.

"Yeah, you might not remember him but he's alive and well," you said.

"I- I r-remember him," Bucky said ever so quietly and tears streamed down his face.

Coulson ushered everyone out and left you with him. You carefully wrapped your arms around him and he tensed up thinking you're gonna hurt him. He breaks down crying and ended up on the floor. The blanket came off of him and you wrapped it around him.
