Monday came faster than the couple knew, the day before Jimin cooked all of his meals for him and Yoongi and it went pretty good. Jimin was happy that he wasn't putting pressure on his boyfriend and Yoongi felt better knowing he wasn't responsible for the meals. The day went perfect, they didn't fight and even went on another walk after dinner which they decided was going to be the thing they do every weekend.
Yoongi was sitting in the staff room, he brought his laptop out on the table and once again he was looking at rings. Pretty rings that would fit perfectly on Jimin's finger. He didn't hear the door to the room open, it wasn't unusual since it was the morning when the first round of doctors arrived so it wasn't like he was startled in any way.
« Looking to propose? » He did jump a little when he heard a woman's voice right next to him. He held his chest and he took a couple deep breaths. The women apologized with a laugh as she looked to see the rings he was looking at.
« I didn't expect someone else to be here this early. » He looked over at her, she was pretty and she had to be new or taking another shift because he had never seen her around here before and if she knew him she probably wouldn't be talking to him right now. She had long blonde hair pulled back into a low ponytail, small diamond earrings and a simple white matching opal necklace with the normal purple top and black dress pants.
« Sorry it's kind of my first day so I didn't really want to risk being late. » She shook her head, she didn't see any other doctor around so she was going to wait for Dr. Lee to get there, he didn't expect anyone else to be there.
« Anyway, sorry again for scaring you, but back to what I was saying. You're shopping for engagement rings? » He nodded, he didn't really know what to say. Of course he was looking for rings but he never expected to talk to someone about it or have anyone ask.
« Uhh yeah I am, guess it's just hitting me that I have to propose. » He wanted to marry Jimin but the thought of proposing now got in his head this was becoming real he just said it out loud to someone meaning that this was now final and he would eventually have to get down on one knee and hope Jimin says yes.
« I know we don't know each other at all but maybe I can help, I mean I picked out my wife's ring and she loved it so maybe I could help you for your girlfriend. » She looked up at Yoongi and saw he looked confused, he didn't know what he was more confused about the fact that she had a wife or the fact she thought he had a girlfriend, he hadn't had one of those since middle school. He let out a small giggle before speaking.
« Girlfriend? No, do I really give off straight vibes? » He laughed a little more and looked the other way, he finally found someone who was like him. He knew there was now one person who works in the hospital that won't look at him weird but she hasn't heard about Jimin yet so he just had a hope that doesn't fuck things up.
« Honestly not really but I saw you look at feminine rings so I didn't want to assume anything. » The two giggled a little and Yoongi glanced back over to the screen where different sparkly rings caught his attention knowing Jimin will love anything he picks out especially if it has a diamond on it.
« Wow I never met another gay person other then my boyfriend and someone who tried to get with me back in highschool. » He looked back over to her and watched as she grabbed her bag, lifting it over her shoulder like she was going to leave. He didn't want her to leave but it was getting closer to the first round shifts.
« Now you know me, I'm Hak Ha-na by the way, I have to go talk with Dr. Lee but I'll see you around. » She stood up and held out her hand which Yoongi gladly shook looking up at her.
« Min Yoongi, see you around. » The two smiled at each before Ha-na walked out of the room giving him one more look before leaving the room.
He didn't know what that was, did he just make a friend? She was the only person who didn't know about the whole Jimin situation so he felt as if he could start again. He could finally make a friend who didn't look at him weird because he was gay and dated a patient but if she talked to Dr. Su then she would find out and maybe stop talking to him. He shook his head and closed his laptop trying to get that thought out of his head, his shift was starting soon so he decided to just put his stuff away and start his shift.
His shift was normal, well as normal as it could be. Ha-na had to shadow a couple doctors just to teach her how to operate certain things in the hospital. This day seemed calm, he didn't see Dr. Su all day and just assumed she didn't work today which was odd because she always worked the same shifts as him. He was actually happy that he didn't see her at all, he was able to make it through his shift without feeling like someone was breathing down his neck.
He bumped into Ha-na when he went to go grab his stuff before he left. He was taking his jacket out of his locker and putting it on when he heard the door open behind him. He looked over his shoulder and was actually happy that it was Ha-na and not someone else.
« Hey, are you off? » She asked going over to her locker, opening it to grab her stuff as well since her shift was over as well.
« yeah and I'm guessing you are as well? » He grabbed his bag, swinging it over to his shoulder turning around to her. He just noticed that she was taller than him, he was wearing small heels but still it made him feel small.
« Yup, the first day went pretty well. » She smiled, got her purse and walked over to Yoongi to see if she could walk with him down to the hallway. She got the hang of things really easy so she didn't seem nervous like she did anything wrong.
« Just wait it'll probably get a lot worse. » The two laughed as they left the room together, he told her a story about some of the patients, how some get violent and making sure she is careful and always on her toes because today was a pretty good day but a lot of the time it isn't so great. They took the elevator down to the main floor, Ha-na told Yoongi about her old job and where she used to live along with some random stories. They pretty much were just getting to know each other a little bit, she made Yoongi feel like he had someone other than Jimin to talk to and Ha-na was also happy to meet someone on her first day because she found it hard to keep friends.
It was hard for Yoongi to tell Jimin about what he thinks because he didn't want to worry Jimin and also he couldn't talk to him about the ring or the house. Those two things were going to be surprises so he needed someone to talk to.
« Well Yoongi it was nice to meet you, I hope I see you tomorrow? Oh also here's my number just in case you need more advice on the ring. » She grabbed a page in her notebook, tearing part of the paper, she wrote down her number and name before handing it to Yoongi. She was excited when she was looking for rings so had so much fun and was so excited to help someone out.
« Thanks, I don't really have friends here or in general. It's just me and my boyfriend so you are offering to help me pick out a ring. » The two were standing in the front of the hospital where they would say their goodbyes before the two left to their cars to go home.
They waved and said goodbye to each other finishing up their conversation. Yoongi went to his car, sticking the number he received in his pocket. This was going to be the start of something great and hopefully they'll stay friends because he needs someone to help him plan how he was going to propose but things might go a little south if Ha-na finds Jimin and finds out he was once a patient but he would just have to get through it.
