The thought of food or consuming it in general left Jimin's stomach to twist and turn almost causing him to throw up. He hated this feeling he would get before meals but he forced himself to leave the room he would now have to call his in order to eat. He stepped out into the cold hallway to see different people, girls and boys walking down to the cafeteria as if it was so easy for them to know they would have to consume calories. Some looked healthy while others looked just as sick as Jimin as they wrapped their arms around their stomachs almost in tears.
He took a deep breath as he turned and started walking along with the other patients. He crossed his arms rolling his eyes as he walked into the huge cafeteria where he was just twenty minutes ago.
There were lots more people then he thought there were going to be, some were standing in a long line waiting for food while the others had trays in their hands and sitting down at the table. There were also staff members standing along the walls of the room, the women had their hair combed back into a low pony tail and all the staff members had clean dark grey dress pants and a nice purple dress shirt tucked in. They watched all of the other patients to make sure they didn't try anything crazy.
Jimin looked around with his arms crossed as he watched one of the staff members make eye contact with him and walk towards him.
« I'm guessing you are Park Jimin? Hi I am Jong Ha-eun and I will be your adviser. » The woman smiled not being fazed when Jimin kept his arms crossed as he rolled his eyes, she was used to it from many of the other patients she had to advise.
« Just do whatever you're going to do. » Jimin said blankly seeing the woman straighten up with a cough to get Jimin's attention.
The woman was a little taller then Jimin which didn't make him feel really intimidated but as the woman pointed to the long line for food he decided to follow her over so that they could stand in line together.
« So before we get your food you should know the rules for eating. » She said looking down the line before turning her attention back to Jimin who still showed no interest in any of what she was saying.
« Rules? » Jimin rolled his eyes taking a couple steps forwards in the line while running his fingers threw his hair.
« Yes they are simple really like,, no talking about number or calories, elbows have to remain on the table, you can't eat in a specific order and you can't hide food. Oh and bathrooms are locked for thirty minutes after eating time, they are also locked during eating time. » She stated following Jimin as he took a step forward.
« Listen Ha- whatever your name is, I don't really care I'm only here so my aunt happy. » He sighed trying to look over peoples shoulders to see what they were serving anyway.
« Dr. Jong. » She corrected seeing that Jimin didn't really seem to care so she just sighed trying to ignore it for now.
« I know the rules now so why are you still standing there. » Jimin didn't even look at her but instead he just stood there with his arms still crossed and looked down the line.
« You're a little rude aren't you, I have a feeling you'll get along with one of the staff members here. » She smiled looking over her shoulder to see a man in the same uniform as her with mint green hair which he wasn't allowed to have but ended up getting his way anyway.
Once she realized Jimin wasn't looking at her anymore was when she stepped away and walked back to where her 'station' was, the place she had to stand and watch out for all the patients. Fights broke out rarly but they were always for stupid reasons, like one kid told another kid how many calories were in his carrots or someone spilled their drink all over someone. They were all stupid and didn't last long but the staff always had to be on their toes just in case making then stand against the walls.
Once Jimin made it to the food he saw two people working at getting the food on peoples plates, one of the staff looked up to smile at Jimin who glared back.
« Ah Park Jimin welcome, I know you're knew so you should know that we have to serve this food but you don't have to eat it, it's just on you since it's your job to gain more weight so you can get out of here. » The second staff members said with a annoyed tone as if she was suppose to say those things.
« Come on,,, I'm sorry it's just you have to take the food you aren't allowed to refuse. Also after you meet with your nutritionist then they will give us your meal plan in order to help but for now eat this. » The first staff member smiled placing some strawberries on the plate making Jimin's mouth water and stomach ache looking at the other foods scattered next to the berries.
He nodded with a fake smile frowning as soon as he stepped away to look out at the different tables reminding him of high school. Those times were always hard because he was known as the 'weird' one who never ate so no one wanted to sit next to him. There were always different groups of people who would laugh at him as he sat on the floor by the library crying to himself.
These old thoughts brought something up in him because before he knew it he was hyperventilating as he hands shook dropping the tray onto the tile floor making everyone look over once they heard the loud noise. He felt as if he was going to pass out as he heard silence over the whole cafeteria, he felt like they all didn't care but he didn't notice their concerned looks as they tried to get some staff's attention.
