« So are you ready to meet my mom? » The newly wed couple just got done signing their documents and were heading out to meet everyone out in the reception where everyone was waiting and talking amongst the other guests getting to know everyone.
« I'm scared but it's okay. » Yoongi rubbed Jimin's back as the younger opened the door for the both of them. As soon as the door opened everyone started to clap for them making Jimin's cheeks heat up. Jimin's mom came up and gave her son a big hug, this was their second hug but it was still so emotional for the both of them because she was getting back into her son's life.
« I am so happy you reached out to me, I want to be back in your life so bad, I want to be here for you. » She spoke against his shoulder as they kept the hug tight.
« I'm happy too, I missed you so much. » Jimin tried really hard to not cry because he's been crying so much that day already but they eventually pulled away from the hug and Jimin's mom gently wiped the tears from her own face turning to look at Yoongi.
« Hi Yoongi, I just wanted to thank you because without you Jimin wouldn't be standing here and I wouldn't be so happy. I'm so happy you guys found each other. » Yoongi got so nervous, he never had a serious relationship so he hasn't met the parents of the person he was dating but he felt so much pressure because he was the main reason Jimin got better.
« I'm glad that I met him also, he changed me just like how I changed him. » He smiled over at Jimin reaching his hand out for Jimin to grab, pulling him in to keep him in a side hug Jimin happily wrapping one arm around his husband.
« Well I want you to know that we are moving back here. Jae is going to college around here and it was never my idea to move away. It was just my husband who couldn't be around Jimin when he didn't want any help. He got frustrated and we left. » She explains and Jimin looks up when she mentions his dad, he wasn't that close to him even when he was little and when he was first diagnosed he just didn't understand why he couldn't just eat.
« I want to be here for you Jimin, you need family and I am here and I will help you no matter what. » Jimin never really thought he needed family until he saw his mom before walking down the aisle, as soon as they hugged he realized how good it was to have family and that even if he didn't admit it he needed his mom.
« Thank you mom, I just. I-I really need you. » Having his mom brought out so many emotions because there were so many things he wished he could tell his mom like when he was struggling he needed his mom and maybe if she stayed and tried to help then maybe he would have recovered long ago but he would have never met Yoongi which also scares him because what would he be without the love of his life?
« You have me now, I will be here for you whether you need mom advice or a babysitter I am here. » Jimin bit his lip trying to hold back a smile and looked down at the ground, he felt shy when she insinuated that they have kids but that's what he wanted and he wanted his mom in that process.
Their conversation had come to an end and they went to get the reception started, they all got to sit at the same table since there weren't a lot of people there. For food they had chicken with steamed vegetables and rice along with wine and water for some of them. They decided to not do speeches like normal weddings. It just didn't seem like something Jimin and Yoongi wanted to do so instead everyone just expressed how happy they were for the newly wed couple and talked about random things.
« So you guys are going to italy after this? » Su-ji asked, she was happy that the two were going on a vacation from what she heard from their vows. It was obvious that they needed time away just for themselves so they could relax.
« We are leaving tomorrow. » Yoongi clarifies and smiles over to Jimin, they were so excited to go and spend some time away from all of their worries.
« I'm happy that you two are taking some time away, it's what you deserve from everything that you have had to go through. » At this point everyone knew what Jimin was going through but they didn't really want to say it out loud but Ha-na was the one to say this and Yoongi just nodded while taking a bite of his chicken.
Everyone continued to eat but when Yoongi looked over he saw Jimin playing with his vegetables. This made the older frown and lean over to whisper just how beautiful Jimin was and that just made the younger feel really embarrassed with his pink cheeks but hearing Yoongi call him beautiful just made everything better almost like it was a bandaid he can put over his problems. He let Yoongi give him a kiss on his nose making everyone coo over how cute they were and they went back to eating and talking.
