The two spent the rest of their night together, they drank their sparkling water and watched a couple episodes of their show before Jimin fell asleep leaning into Yoongi's body. Yoongi heard Jimin sigh which made him realize his fiance was asleep so he carried him to bed and they both fell asleep in bed together.
In the morning after they had breakfast Yoongi took a shower and got dressed because he wanted to take Jimin somewhere. There was this beautiful huge flower garden a little outside of town that he was so excited to take his new fiance out to explore. Yoongi also wanted to call Jin to see if he wanted to meet up so he could just apologize for ignoring him and focusing a little too much on his school work. He wanted to let his ex friend know that he had changed, he was different and was ready to mend their relationship
As he waited for Jimin to take his shower and get ready he decided to just call Jin and just see if he answered. For some reason he was so nervous, as soon as he saw Jin's name in his contacts he was so worried he'd just answer to curse him out but he wouldn't know until he tried. He clicked Jin's name and held the phone up to his ear, heart pounding in his chest as he went to go sit on one of the bar stools. He heard the ringing in his ear and he feels like Jin is never going to answer but all of the sudden the ringing stopped and he heard breathing on the other end.
« Yoongi? » Jin asked, Yoongi had to take a couple deep breaths because he wanted to cry hearing his voice again, the voice that reminded him of his past.
« Hi Jin. » Yoongi placed his hand over his chest breathing in before standing up walking around into the kitchen just so he could take his mind off the anxiety he was feeling.
« Umm wow uh how are you? Why are you calling? » Jin was in shock, he wasn't expecting Yoongi to call. He never forgot about Yoongi and he even was thinking about getting in touch with him again but he never thought Yoongi would be the one to call him first and right at this moment.
« I miss you, I want to apologize for the way I treated you. I know all you wanted was for me to be your friend and do things with you but I always put school before everything no matter what. » He did wish he spent more time with Jin instead of being gone all day at work and spending most of his free time on school.
« I actually miss you too, I knew you how important school and work was to you, I should of understood that but I was petty and dumb. » Even though Yoongi was the one to push the relationship away Jin wished he could change the way he talked to Yoongi because the way he just left one day made him feel horrible and he thinks about it every single day.
« School and work is really important to me but I should have tried harder with you, I should have spent more time with you. I just have so much going on and the one person I want to talk to is you. » He wanted to go to Jin and scream and jump telling him that he proposed telling him that his life was moving on and he was excited for his new life to start but he couldn't.
« Listen, before you say more I just want to say that I'm happy you called but I won't be able to move back in if that's why you have called me. I am actually doing really well with my boyfriend, Namjoon you met him right? » Yoongi thought back, he remembers when Jin told him he would be moving out his boyfriend Namjoon was standing right next to him so he does remember him just a little bit but not enough to fully know him.
« I kind of remember him but listen I don't want you to move in, I feel like that just ruined something great we had. Besides, I helped get Jimin out of the hospital and we are living together. » He can't remember if he mentioned Jimin to Jin but he kind of remembers mentioning him one night when he got back from work.
« Oh Jimin? That name sounds familiar, I'm glad you found a new roommate and I hope you've been taking care of him. » Yoongi gulped, walking back out into the living room, he was just pacing around going from the kitchen to the living room back to the kitchen still kind of anxious.
« Yeah well we have actually been dating pretty much since you left and I actually proposed to him last night. » Yoongi couldn't hold back his smile as he thought about that moment again and he just couldn't believe that he did that and couldn't believe he was telling his ex best friend.
« Yoongi are you kidding? That's wonderful. I'm so happy that you are moving on with your life, damn I wish Namjoon would propose to be. » Both of them let out a small giggle, it almost seemed like they were falling back into their normal habits and it made Yoongi feel really good to tell Jin.
« Yeah umm I also graduated yesterday so no more school getting in my way. » It was like Yoongi had so much going on that he wanted to tell Jin and now that they were talking he wanted to unload everything and just let his emotions still out to Jin.
« That's amazing Yoongi, I'm so proud of you. I know I have been a little horrible with you, I hated when you spent more time on school and work but I am proud. Namjoon actually sat me down and told me how much school and work means to some people and he told me you actually love what you are studying and love to help people. I should've let you do your own thing but I decided to make it all about me. » Namjoon got Yoongi's back, because when he was in college he spent a lot of time on his studies because he loved what he was studying so he wanted Jin to know that some people get really into their school work and their job because they love it that much.
« I'm so happy to hear you are proud of me, it means so much. After I officially became a doctor the first thing I thought about was telling you but it was hard to remember that you left me on bad terms. » Yoongi brushed his fingers in his hair going back over to sit on one of the bar stools.
« I thought the same thing earlier when I went out to a house party with Namjoon, something happened that was funny and I couldn't wait to tell you but then of course I remembered that you weren't in my life anymore. » Yoongi was surprised to hear that because he didn't know Jin missed him like he did he thought Jin would have just forgotten about him by now so he was happy to hear that.
« You used to be my best friend and when you left I had no one to talk to, of course I now have a couple other friends but they aren't you, they aren't my best friend you are. » Yoongi heard the door to the bed room open, hearing soft footsteps along the hallway. Yoongi didn't look over and instead he just continued to look down at the counter.
« And you were also my best friend and I hope that maybe one day we can come back together and be friends again. » Yoongi wanted to cry because he just couldn't believe Jin also felt the same way about their situation and he was ready to let the past go and start fresh.
« Yeah I hope we can be friends again, maybe you and your boyfriend can hang out with me and Jimin. » He was going to ask him to come over for dinner one night but the last time they had a dinner night Jimin freaked out a little bit so he didn't want that to happen again no matter how much Jimin says he's okay. Jimin had just walked in the room and tilted his head in confusion sitting on the couch to wait for Yoongi to be done with the call.
« Are you free today? » Yoongi wasn't expecting Jin to ask, he didn't expect for them to all hang out today he thought maybe next week or something. He didn't know what to say as he was stumbling to form some sort of sentence.
« I actually was going to take Jimin down to that garden out of town, I wanted to just walk around and show him. » He started to bounce his leg because he wanted to invite Jin but it felt like it would be their first time meeting even though they used to be best friends.
« We were going to head out soon, do you maybe want to meet us there? » Yoongi knew Jimin would have wanted this day just to be for them but Jin did mean a lot to him and to mend their friendship would be for the best.
« Only if that's okay with you and Jimin. I'd love to come. » Yoongi looked back at Jimin to see him just looking at him. He looked confused and it just made him look even cuter.
« Is it okay if one of my friends and his boyfriend come with? » Yoongi had put the phone down so he could see if Jimin was okay with it, he didn't say anything just nodded because he didn't want to say no to Yoongi. He was trying to get better and getting to know new people is a step that he was currently getting through.
Yoongi finished up the conversation with Jin, it was set that all four of them were going to meet by the gardens. On the ride there Yoongi made sure to tell Jimin who Jin was, let him know that he was his best friend and he was going to try to get that friendship back.
