Nini POV
Ricky and I spend the next two hours studying and listening to music on the grass. The sun is still very much up, but Ricky and I decide to start heading back for dinner. He and I are laughing and smiling at literally nothing, our energy contagious as we pack up. "Your chemistry book, Nins" he says cracking up as I almost leave it. "Oh come on you could've grabbed that" I tell him and he shrugs as we walk to the car. "A little too far for me if you ask me." I roll my eyes and he holds my waist. We throw our bags in the back seat and Ricky makes his way over to my side of the car to help me in. Before he does though, I lean in to put my water bottle in my backpack and I retreat out of the car to see Ricky staring at me with a little smile on his face. "What?" I giggle and he shakes his head, his body coming closer to mine. "Nothing" he forces out, his voice considerably more raspy and deep. I notice him looking around, checking our surroundings. I look at him confused but he just shakes his head and presses my body up against his, pushing me lightly so that I'm up against the car door. "What-" I start to say but his lips are on mine and he's hungrily deepening the kiss, bringing his hands up to my face for leverage. I kiss him back right away and he uses that as permission to slip his tongue into my mouth and press his body further into mine. "Ricky" I whisper out as we pull back, both breathing heavily. He moves in again and this time I'm ready, my mouth fighting for dominance against his. He tugs gently on my bottom lip though with his teeth and I'm done for, allowing him to win. His body pressed up against mine allows me to feel the fact that he has an erection and suddenly his behavior makes sense. His hands travel down my body and they move slowly down my back, reaching my bum. When I think he's going to stop, he squeezes and suddenly he's not the only one aroused. I melt into his body and he pulls away, chest moving up and down quickly. "We should go" he says with that small smile returning on his lips. My face conforms into shock. "What?" Is all I manage to get out. He stays near me, his hands resting on my waist. "You're always telling me you don't play fair. It was my turn." He whispers to me with a bright smile. "But... what... but you..." I try to get out, but I'm still in a daze and he just smiles. "But you're turned on!" I blurt out and his smile grows. "You are too" he whispers, his warm breath against my ear making me shiver. He moves so that he can help me into the car. I glare at him as he gets in and his hand rests on my leg. "I hate you Bowen."
When I get home for dinner, my goal is to talk to my moms about Chicago. It's much further than Los Angeles, so I can already foresee them being a little hesitant to let me go. When we sit down for dinner I look at them and wait for their conversation to end, "Uh oh. This is the 'important talk' face." Momma D says when she notices. I laugh nervously and I play with my hands in my lap. "Yeah it's just a little thing to talk about." I say and my moms nod. "When you're ready" Momma C says and I take a deep breath, beginning to spill everything. My moms nod slowly and take everything in and when I'm done talking the take a deep breath. "Woo that was a lot." Momma C says and I smile. "Look, I think I speak for both of us when I say that we want you to go. Especially to make sure that Ricky is alone. But have you guys planned this out? Has he talked to his mom or are you just planning to show up? And how long would you guys be gone?" I think for a second. "I have to ask Ricky about whether or not he's talked to Lynne. We'd only be gone for a Saturday and a Sunday. This is just really important." Momma D looks a little unsure. "Hey I went on vacation in another state with my boyfriend." I say and they laugh. "Yeah, but this is Chicago. If Lynne is picking you guys up from the airport to bring you to your hotel, I'm fine with that. Anything else is pushing the limit." I nod. "Im going to call Ricky and see if he's talked to his mom. I'll be back down." My moms nod and I head up to my room.
When Ricky picks up the phone I just move to get everything out of my mouth as quickly as I can. "I know you said you didn't want to talk about it, but my moms want to know if you've talked to your mom about even going to the wedding." I hear a chuckle from the other end. "Calm down Nins, we can talk about this stuff. I did. She knows we're coming and she said that she can help us get around Chicago. She lives in the suburbs." We talk for a little bit more about the logistics and I rush back down to my moms to tell them what Ricky and I had discussed. After telling them everything my moms nod finally. "Okay. When do you leave?" I smile and take a deep breath. "Two weeks. Enough time to make sure that this goes as smoothly as possible." My moms nod but as I walk out of the kitchen I hear Momma C whisper "If this wedding happens without any drama, it'll be a miracle."
