Chapter 147

Nini POV

We arrived in Colorado just a few short hours later. Everyone jumped out of the car like they hadn't touched the ground in days and we were all greeted with hugs from Carlos in the driveway. "You guys are here oh my god!" Carlos exclaims, wrapping his arm tightly around Seb and grinning at us excitedly. "Yeah, thank fucking god. We stopped like ten times for-" EJ starts but Kourtney slaps his chest. "Twice. We stopped twice." Carlos laughs and shakes his head. "I sense a little exhaustion." He gestures to the group and we smile. "Yeah, I don't care how much I love them, nine hours with our asses all squeezed into one car is so fucking painful." Ricky says and I smile, wrapping my arm around his waist. "Well I'm glad you guys made it without killing each other, it's getting pretty late so I can show you your rooms and you can just sleep if you're tired?" Ashlyn, Gina, Kourtney and I shake our heads and jump forward. "NO! We have a game of truth or dare planned for tonight so you men have to suck it up." Gina exclaims and EJ groans. "Can't we just wait until tomorrow night to get to know each other better?" Kourtney rolls her eyes and grins. "No idiot, this is gonna be a spicer game, a more interesting type of game." EJ's eyebrows raise and Ricky pulls me closer. "What's that supposed to mean?" I grin and shake my head, stepping away from him to loop my arm around Carlos' shoulders. "Don't worry, it's gonna be great." I say with a smile and we hear a few more groans from the guys before Carlos announces that he wants to show us the house.

"Dude." Big Red says when we all walk into the foyer. My jaw drops when I get a good look at the place. It was two floors and mainly wooden, illuminated by a huge, sparkling chandelier. "This is..." Seb nods. "Yeah." He breathes out. "Well fuck, did I fall asleep?" EJ announces and Gina shakes her head. "Carlos, this is seriously amazing. I'd sleep by the trash can outside, the fact that you invited us here..." Carlos grins and claps his hands. "I'm so glad you all like it! If you think this is amazing though, I can't wait for you to see your rooms. Kourtney, you get the single down here. You won't have to share any walls with anyone so..." EJ stifles a laugh and Gina bites her lip, turning to me and whispering that it's best for all of our sanities. Carlos leads us down a hallway to show us her room, Kourtney's mouth dropping when she sees her window overlooks the large lake. "This is amazing." She says and Carlos smiles. "Sebby, you and I are right down this hallway... there's a nice large bed and a hot tub between ours and Kourtney's room if you go right through that hallway." Carlos gestures to a wooden door. "Don't worry guys, the three bedrooms upstairs have the same type of hallway, leading right to a hot tub." EJ's jaw drops. "Bro this place is amazing. You didn't tell us you were rich." Carlos grins and gives us a little shrug. "I'm not, but my relatives are. But all of this..." he gestures around, "is something I like to keep quiet because I want to know people are hanging out with me for me. You know?" Everyone nods and I step forward to wrap my arms around him. "You're so loved." I whisper in his ear and he tightens his arms around me before pulling back and giving me a small smile. "Shall I show you yours and Ricky's room?" I nod and Ricky steps forward to wrap his arm around me eagerly. Carlos asks us to follow him up the stair case and he brings us into a large bedroom. My jaw drops when I take in the huge room, a beautiful bay window overlooking a forest and a large bed in the middle of the room. The room welcomed the light from the setting sun and the walls still had that "cabin feel" with wood base boards and a rustic feel. "Carlos, dude this is amazing." Ricky says and Carlos smiles. "The room to the hot tub is right down the hallway and Gina and EJ.... your room is right over here!" He gestures for us to follow, opening a door to a room that's identical to mine and Ricky's. EJ grins and thanks Carlos excitedly before Carlos grabs Ashlyn's hand. "Okay, and last but not least, Red and Ashlyn... you guys are right over here!" He leads the way to the last room and we're met with another exceptional bedroom. "I hope you guys will be comfortable, there are two bathrooms down the hall and then the rooms that we passed downstairs were the living room and the kitchen." Everyone thanks him, moving forward to wrap him in a hug and we all begin to disperse and make our way over to grab our bags from the car. "Hey Nini, one sec." Gina pulls me back and I wave for Ricky to keep going and I tilt my head. "What's up hon?" She pulls me into her designated bedroom and she looks nervous. "EJ and I... we've never..." I furrow my eyebrows. "Slept together? I thought you said-" She shakes her head. "No, like, slept together in the same bed. Like obviously we've done it, but-" I nod knowingly. "You've never shared a bed for the night." She nods and I give her an encouraging smile. "That's okay Gi, it's not something you have to overthink. Like, sometimes you just fall into bed and it just feels right." She nods and takes a deep breath. "Alright, yeah you're totally right. I shouldn't stress." I grin and take her hand. "Good, and there's a chance truth or dare will exhaust them anyway so you definitely won't have to overthink tonight." She giggles and leads us downstairs. "Don't get my hopes up."
