Nini POV

I watched Ricky as he walked around his house smiling, greeting the party guests excitedly. His smile was contagious and as he made his way over to his skater friends, he caught my eye from across the room and blew me a kiss. I blew one back, laughing and making my way over to Ashlyn, Seb and Carlos. "This is actually going super well." I say to them and Seb moves to squeeze my shoulders. "Look at how happy you made that boy!" He exclaims and I look over at Ricky, his eyes crinkled in extreme happiness and his smile bright. "God this is just everything he deserves." I say and Ashlyn nods, looking over at him herself. "It's official though, we want you to plan our birthday parties as well. This is epic, although this is for the boy that you love so maybe it's a one time thing?" She says and I laugh, knocking our hips together. "Girl you bet I'll plan your parties! It's definitely not a one time thing. But honestly, this family is just everything and bringing Ricky into it? It just makes it so special to me." I say and Carlos squeezes my hand. "I'll admit he's a good addition, but he has to brush up on his knowledge of our art." Seb laughs and brings his arm around his boyfriend. "Babe, you mean our chaos. Ricky's perfectly caught up on our musical theater intelligence." I smile and point at them. "I did pretty well didn't I?" Carlos grimaces and turns his head a little. "Okay I heard him refer to The Beast as "the lion thing" like 4 months ago and I don't think I'll ever let that go, no matter how special he is." I giggle as I think of Ricky confidently talking about his newfound knowledge of Beauty and The Beast and Ashlyn bursts into laughter as well. "Ricky keeps us grounded." She says and I laugh again, nodding in agreement.

Three hours pass ridiculously quickly. Throughout the party Ricky holds onto me as if I'm an extension of him, and as we all sit around in the living room getting ready for cake, he proudly pulls me onto his lap. I blush a little at his gesture, and he holds onto my hips tightly as if I'll decide to get off of him. I catch Momma C's eyes and she smiles knowingly before turning to talk to Momma D, making me blush a deeper shade of red. "Ricky" I mumble and he looks at me with a bright smile. "Hmm?" He bends down so that our conversation isn't for everyone to hear. "Aren't you like... are you?" I try to get out and I gesture a little to the way we're sitting, trying to ask if he's embarrassed at all. He laughs and holds me a little tighter. "I think I know what you're getting at. So no I'm not. I like you right where you are." He says in my ear, and if my face could get any more red it would. "But" I protest a little and he laughs, pressing his lips against my cheek. "Look, half the room already figures we're sleeping together, the other half already knows, and if you'd stop wiggling you'd make this a lot less awkward." My mouth drops a little and I laugh, pushing my head into his shoulder. "Shut up you" I say and he chuckles, rubbing his hand over my thigh as his dad brings over the cake with the lit candles. After we sing happy birthday, I throw myself off of Ricky's lap and onto the couch next to him so that he can blow out the candles without catching any part of me on fire. He struggles to blow out the candles because he's laughing so hard and afterwards, he looks at me with an adorable smile. "That was so unnecessary babe." He says as the group cheers and claps for him.

"Dude you have to be fast. You two literally haven't separated for the entire party, he's gonna notice you're gone and then the questions are gonna start." EJ whispers in a rushed and hushed tone by the front door. "Look stall him for like twenty minutes. That's all it'll take." EJ looks unsure. "You've already agreed!" I say and he sighs. "Fine but get your ass back here quickly. If I spoil the surprise it's not my fault." He says and I glare at him before we're interrupted by Gina. "Don't worry Nini. We'll stall and I'll make sure EJ keeps his damn mouth shut." She says, putting an arm around her boyfriend's waist. EJ smiles and kisses the top of her head. "Thank you, thank you. I'll be quick." I promise, and that's all it takes for me to disappear from the house, grabbing the stash of supplies I hid in his car and sprinting to the alcove in the park that I couldn't wait to transform into a special little date with Ricky.

After everything was well set up, I started back to Ricky's house, running a little quicker so that hopefully I could cut the time of being away. When I get through the front door of his house again I'm almost attacked by Kourtney. "Babe, thank god you're here. I think Ricky's about to lose it on EJ." I catch my breath and start laughing. "What why?" She rolls her eyes. "The boy was whining about wanting to be with you and whenever he'd start to try and walk around the house, EJ would corner him and tell him jokes." My mouth drops and I start to laugh harder. "Nooo, what the hell? Why'd I employ EJ?" I ask and Kourtney shakes her head. "Bad choice babe. Just go find your man before he starts a fight." I laugh and put my hand to her shoulder as I walk away.

"Nini! Babe!" I hear and I turn to see Ricky walking out of the kitchen. He wraps his arms around my waist and I rock our bodies gently, trying to hold back my laughter. "What's up bubs?" He presses his forehead against mine and smiles. "I've been looking for you for like an hour." I bite my lip in an attempt to hold back my smile, (the boy is just so dramatic) and Ricky's thumb pulls at my lip gently for me to release it, before pressing his lips against mine. "Where were you?" He asks and I smile. "I was grabbing your gift" I tell him and he smiles, a blush spreading over his cheeks. "But maybe can you can come with me and we can open it alone?" I ask gently and his smile grows, his eyes twinkling happily. "I'd love that." He says softly. I rub his cheek bones lightly and pull back. "Good, now let's go." I say and he looks a little shocked. "Now? Won't people mind?" I shake my head and pull on his arm. "Nope, not at all." I say and he smiles, shrugging. "Okay... but-" I cut him off when we reach the front door, as I pull a blindfold out of my pocket. "Oh no. No. You are not blindfolding me." He says and I giggle, pulling his body close to mine before wrapping the blindfold around his head. "Trust me Ricky, I won't let you run into anything." He grabs my hand, and I bring my other arm firmly around his waist, leading him outside and onto the sidewalk. "I hate this." He says very matter-of-a-factly. I giggle and he holds onto me a little tighter. Warmth floods through me and I squeeze his hand a little more as he relies on my body to walk him down the street. "I don't" I whisper and his thumb grazes my hand in response.
