A light || Ricky and Nini

Chapter 151

Ricky POV

"Are you sure we should do that... trick them?" I ask EJ and he nods. "Completely positive. We just have to figure out what to do." I raise my eyebrows and look at the laughing girls ahead of us. "Nothing like, pretend-breaking up with them okay? That's a little too deep." EJ nods and thinks for a second. "We'll figure it out, we've got two full weeks here. But we've gotta do something big and maybe we can open it up a bit more and get Red, Carlos and Seb on our side too. Prank all the girls at once." I can't help but smile at the thought. "You're gonna be a freshman in college in three months and this shit is still on your mind. See anything wrong with that?" EJ grins and shakes his head. "No but thanks for checking. And plus, I gotta go out big. Really outdo myself with a prank." I laugh and sigh."Fine but if Nini gets mad at me, you bet your fucking ass that you're paying."

The group decides to take a break after a few hours of walking, everyone coming up with a different excuse to sit and chill out. "My muscles are sore." Nini says into my neck, her body resting against mine as we stand around the tree stumps that we set our food up on. I'm rubbing her back which she seems to appreciate, but even I could feel the twinge in my legs from walking so much and I could only guess she felt a little more. "I'm with you girlie." Kourtney says from her spot on the ground and Nini nods. "Yeah it's been one hell of a trek over here. Do you want to sit?" I ask her and she shakes her head, slipping her fingertips through the hair at the base or my neck. "If I sit I probably won't get up." She admits with a breathy laugh and I nod, understanding her completely but still wishing she wasn't in any pain. "Oh my god I just realized we have to walk all the way back." She says with a laugh of disbelief. "I think we walked 4 miles, my lord. Welp, everyone's gonna sleep well tonight." Carlos says and everyone groans, even though they're laughing and smiling with each other. I feel Nini rubbing my sides, as if it's keeping her grounded and I kiss her temple before breathing in the scent of her shampoo. Her hands slip under my t shirt and I sigh at the contact. "That feels good." I tell her softly and she smiles up at me before resting her head back against my chest. "Good." She whispers before continuing to trail her nails across my sides. "You guys are so cute it makes me want to vomit." Big Red announces from his seat on a tree stump and Nini turns to give him a look. "I could say the same about you and Ash, but I won't because I'M A NICE PERSON." Red presses a kiss to Ashlyn's cheek before returning a look to Nini. "I'm perfectly nice, I'M JUST HONEST." Red matches her energy, and Nini shakes her head. "Okay, I'm hugging my boyfriend and Gina is over there making out with hers so-" I smirk down at Nini and cut her off. "Are you throwing suggestions out there?" Kourtney giggles and claps her hands. "Oop these are the best arguments." Nini laughs and rolls her eyes before breaking away from my embrace and walking over to wrap her arms around Big Red's neck from behind. "Whatever. I'm just kidding, you know I love you two." She says to Ashlyn in particular, but still giving a kind look to Red. "It's okay Nins, Red's just grumpy because he's missing his skateboard." I say as I walk over to wrap my arms around her again. She accepts my embrace and grins down at Red. "Is that true?" Red mocks offense and throws his arm around Ashlyn. "Bro, I've got everything I need right here." I roll my eyes and Ashlyn mutters something about not believing him which gets us all laughing.

We decide to head back to the house when we notice the sky darkening. Everyone was getting tired and while EJ tried to convince the group we should go skinny dipping before bed, we decided on getting to sleep early, catching up on all of our rest before enjoying a full day of excitement tomorrow. Nini's body felt weak in my arms as we closed in on our last mile before we reached the house and even though she'd periodically kiss my shoulder or give me a sweet smile, I could see the exhaustion behind her eyes. It was the same for the other members of the group. Seb was half asleep, Gina was mostly being carried by EJ and even Kourtney, someone who makes it known to us that she stays up at all hours of the night,was yawning and barely participating in conversations. I still had a lot of energy, and the time on my phone reading only 8 o'clock was the logical explanation for that. I knew tomorrow was going to be great though and I truly only wanted to fall asleep with my girl tonight, resting up for a day of chaos and excitement tomorrow.

ANOTHER FILLER CHAPTER, I KNOW! I just had to establish some things in this chapter (like finishing up their hike and all) before I jump into more bigger events in the coming chapters. :) Gotta warn y'all, tomorrow's chapter is pretty long!
