Ricky POV

"Wait wait duck babe!" Nini tells me right as I smack my head off a large tree branch. "Whoops" she says, bringing her hand to my forehead and stopping us on the sidewalk. "Whoops?" I say and she leans into me. I don't need to see her to know she's smiling brightly. "You're totally alive, no worries." She says and I tighten my grip on her hand. "Uh huh, yeah but any further and I might not be." I say and she giggles, wrapping her arm back around my waist and guiding us a little slower. "Relax, we're almost there." She tells me and I smile. "So there's still a chance of death." She giggles and I feel her push on my arm. "Bowen you better watch it, I'm your eyes and I have a history of only seeing what I want to see... It's call selective vision and-" I cut her off by waving my hand. "Okay okay" I say laughing and I feel her rest her head against my shoulder, the unmistakable feeling of her kissing the fabric of my shirt. "We're here anyway." She says, as she leads me down a descending landscape. "Kneel down." She says and I'm slightly confused but I do so anyway. I feel her kiss the top of my head from behind, her small fingers working to undo the blindfold. I hear her take a deep breath and the sound of the grass as I assume she kneels next to me. Nini's soft lips connect with my neck as the blindfold comes off and when my eyes adjust to my surroundings I'm pretty sure my jaw drops. Jars of twinkle lights are spread along the entrance to a tiny little rock alcove, lighting up the entire little nook area. Blankets cover the ground and and there are two gifts stacked on top of each other, along with a basket of marshmallows and chocolate. I know Nini's watching me for my reaction and for some reason, forming words is exceptionally difficult. Instead of saying anything, i reach for her and her eyes are wide and beautiful as I connect our lips.

Nini POV

Ricky's lips work gently against mine and his fingers get caught in my hair. "Do you like it?" I ask gently when we pull back and Ricky's forehead rests against mine. "I can't even express how special this is." He tells me softly and I smile, pulling his hand so that we can move into our little space.

Ricky scoots up against the rock wall, pulling me in between his legs, in a way that allows our fronts to touch. "How did you do this? Where did you find this place?" He asks in awe and I smile, bringing my hands to his cheeks. "I did this when I disappeared at the party. I wanted to make sure there was something special for you and I remembered this place from when I was young. I haven't been in here in years. It's so secluded and I thought it'd be perfect." I say quietly and Ricky's forehead rests against mine. "How come we'd never come here together?" I shrug and bring my fingertips to the base of his neck, starting to play with the hair there. "I'd only come here when we had fights. Or I wanted to be alone." Ricky smiles and moves to press a kiss against my jaw. "We've had some arguments in the past couple years, what made you stop coming here?" I shrug again and smile. "We got better at talking through our problems." I say and he smiles. "Remember when I couldn't say that I loved you?" I wince and trace my fingetips over his cheek. "That was a glitch in the system." He laughs brightly and holds onto my body a little tighter. "Hell, that's one way to describe it. Another way is pure stupidity, but it's fine because you just smacked my head off a branch so we're even." My mouth drops and I watch the teasing smile spread across Ricky's face. "Even? That doesn't even compare-" Ricky's lips are on mine before I can finish. It feels like the breath is knocked out of me, but all I want is more as I feel his soft lips on mine. My open mouth was an invitation for his tongue to slip in and as he explores my mouth, his fingers thread through my hair. The feeling is electric and I run my hands across his chest, earning a small groan. When he pulls back, he looks me in the eyes and his gaze makes me blush a little. "I love you so much Nini. It's unreal." He says quietly. In response, I wrap my arms around him, holding him tight to my body and rubbing my hand across his back. "I love you too baby. Always." I whisper and his head turns into the crook of my neck, nestling there as I continue to rub his back.

After a few minutes I bring my hand through his curls to get his attention. "I want to give you my gifts." I say softly and he pulls back, a small smile on his lips. "Nini literally the only thing I could want is you. And I have you." He says gently, trailing his hands across my arms before I pull away to grab the wrapped gifts. "I don't care. These are for you." I tell him with a smile and he sighs, but he truly looks overjoyed as he grabs the first little box. He opens the wrapping paper carefully and when he opens the gift entirely his eyes meet mine. "Nini." He says, emotion clear in his voice. He knows what the gift is right away and I smile as he examines it. I got him a bracelet that can connect to another, allowing for someone to type out little vibrations for the other bracelet to feel. As if he already knows I'm wearing it, he grabs my arm carefully and lifts it, pulling up the sweater that I have on and revealing the other bracelet. Looking at his, he taps three times and my bracelet vibrates three times in response. He looks amazed. "Now you don't have to worry about not having the words to say. Sometimes, it's okay to just be. Especially when we're apart." I say softly and he pulls me in, pressing his lips to mine. "This was a bad idea you know, I'm gonna bother you allll night." He says and I laugh loudly, pushing his shoulder. "I can take it off you know." He gasps dramatically. "You wouldn't dare." He says and I lean into him laughing. "Try me." He bites his lip to contain his spreading smile, and he's dangerously close to kissing me again before I pull back. "Wait, one more." I say, reaching behind me to grab the other gift that I had for him. It was slightly larger and he opened the wrapping paper in the same delicate way. This time though, tears sprung to his eyes right away and his eyes met mine.
