Kurapika POV

I sighed and looked out the window waiting for Leorio to come home. He's never out this late and when he is he'll always text me about it.

Maybe he's just busy and doesn't have the time to text me, it happens, I think.

I rocked Lucy back and forth in my arms, she's been sick all day and I had to take care of her alone. We should both be asleep, it's way too late to still be up waiting for Leorio. I looked down at Lucy in my arms. Luckily she was soundly asleep so I won't have to worry about that.

I went into our bedroom and set Lucy down in her crib. As I was about to climb into bed I heard a car pull into the driveway. Since I didn't have to wait that much longer for Leorio to come home I didn't turn the light off.

I put on one of Leorio's t-shirts and took off my pants. I climbed into bed and sat up with my body half way under the covers.

I heard the front door open and slam shut. I heard someone throw something against the wall before it was silent. A few seconds later Leorio walked into the bedroom and stared at me for a few seconds before shutting the door and getting in his nightwear.

As he was changing I cleared my throat, "Where were you?"

He took of his tie, "Work."

"I needed help with her tonight."

"I was at work Kurapika." He growled. I rolled my eyes, "Leorio I know that you weren't at work. If you were at work you would have texted me and I would be in bed by now. So answer me correctly this time, where the hell were you?"

He glanced at me and slid off his shirt, "Fine. I was at a club getting drunk and high." He turned around and sarcastically smiled at me, "Happy Sunshine?"

I crossed my arms, "Why? Why were you there?"

"Because I wanted to be there. Why else." I rolled my eyes, "Why were you-"

"Kurapika! I don't want to fucking talk about it god damnit! Just because you're my fiancé doesn't mean you have to know all of my business!"

Leorio sighed and put on a different jacket, "I'm going out. If I'm not here when you wake up don't call me. I'll be sleeping on the couch if I come back. Which is a low possibility."

"Leorio-"

"Goodnight Kurapika. See you tomorrow."

And just like that he left. I didn't have to worry about him though, he's an adult and he can do what he pleases, besides, I have my own issues. But I just hope that he's home by morning, even if he's on the couch.
