Leorio POV
"Kurapika I'm home!" I said shutting the door behind me.
And not to my surprise, I heard no answer. I knew he was home but it's either he was ignoring me or just couldn't hear me.
I kicked my shoes off and took off my jacket, "Sunshine!"
I took my tie off as I began to walk down the hall. I looked into our room to see if he was in there, surprisingly, instead of him still asleep in bed was Lucy asleep in her crib. Lucy's crib was never in our room, it always was in the nursery.
I continued to walk down the hall and into the nursery. To my surprise Kurapika was inside taking apart things for the twins and throwing the parts into a bin.
"Hey Sunshine," I said, "what're ya doing?"
"What does it look like?" He said sarcastically.
"Well it looks like you're throwing stuff out..."
"Ding ding ding. You're our big winner." He talked low with an upset look on his face.
I cleared my throat, "So, how's the doctors appointment go?"
Without looking up he replied, "I don't want to talk about it..." He was silent for a few seconds before continuing, "I had an emergency surgery though-"
"For what?"
"I just told you, I don't want to talk about it!" He rested his head in his hands, "I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow."
I leaned down, "What are you doing? If you just had surgery shouldn't you be on bed rest?"
"Leorio please just leave me alone! God!" He threw the things in his hands onto the floor and got up, "I'm going to take a nap! You just- just- I don't know! Do something a husband or father should!"
He began to walk out of the room, I sighed, "Okay, I will."
He turned around, "And take Lucy to work tomorrow!"
"Why are you yelling?"
"I just had a bad day!" He lifted up his arms before sharply inhaling and grabbing his side.
I shook my head, "You need to rest."
"I'm going to our room to a nap. Okay? Is that good enough for you doctor?" He spoke harshly.
"Um yeah, it is actually."
"Good."
He left the room and I soon heard our bedroom door close and the squeaking of our bed.
I turned around and studied the nursery. Boxes were scattered around with the baby books, crib parts, baby blankets and pillows, and everything else we bought for Lucy and the twins put in each box individually.
I flipped the light switch off and shut the door, I just can't help but wonder what he was up to.
