Leorio POV

I laughed as I spun my sister in a circle. I haven't had this much fun with my family since my going away part, for when I left for York New.

"Day two of Día de los Muertos, which means we can drink tomorrow." Xiomara joked walking up beside me and Rose.

I chuckled, "You say that like I didn't yesterday."

Rose stop dancing and smiled, "I'm out o-of breath."

I squeezed her hands tightly, "Really already? Come on, you should have more in you, you're a Paladiknight." I spun her in another circle.

"Leorio!" She laughed, "You're out of breath too."

"Physically but not mentally." I spun her arkund once again before letting her go and look over at Kurapika on the couch.

I smiled at my husband, "Come dance! Rose is out of breath, I need a replacement!"

Kurapika laughed and shook his head, "No thanks, I'm not good at dancing."

"Please I don't believe that!" I reached out my hand, "Come on, just one."

He rolled his eyes, "Fine."

I pulled him up onto his feet and smiled at him. He smiled back at me, "I love the joy in your eyes."

"Well it is a holiday! Why wouldn't I be joyful." I began to dance with him. The entire time he was giggly and cheerful, which is another reason I was joyful.

"Leorio?" Kurapika asked softly, "Are you crying?"

I sniffed and shook my head, "No, you just look really happy right now."

"So do you." He put his hand on my cheek, "And I love it."

"Well I love you."

"I love you too."

He put his hand down and stepped back, "Can I ask you a question?" He sat back down on the couch.

"What flowers are those? On the alter?" He pointed to the bright yellow flowers surrounding the pictures on the ofrenda's.

"Oh those? They're marygolds, their bright colour and strong scent help lead the dead back to their family." I pointed to the trail, "Ours start in the garage and, obviously, lead into here and on to the ofrenda."

"Oh, that's cool." He tapped his leg, "What about the food and alcohol?"

"Well those are offerings, my family likes to put it the dead's favorite food. Like my grandma liked a certain type of bread, and my grandpa liked this certain kind of beer. But they are also a part of decoration. For Día de los Muertos you represent all four elements on the ofrenda. The fruit is for earth, the beer and water is for water, the candles for fire, and the papel picado for wind."

Kurapika nodded snd smiled, "That's really cool. Do yoy decorate it with anything else?"

"Mhm, sugar skulls and the things the dead liked. Our sugar skulls are pure sugar so they're edible but don't recommend eating them." I chuckled, "But my dad's brother liked to color red so we put red twine around his picture frame."

"Wow..." He chuckled, "It's really pretty."

I smiled, "Yeah, I guess it is."

"Oh by the way, since me and my family didn't celebrate Day of the Dead where our family us buried we were planning on going back to Spain and Mexico to visit their graves. I was wondering if that was okay with you? I'll only be gone for two to five days." I asked Kurapika.

"Uh yeah, that's fine." He smiled at me, "You need to reconnect with your family anyway. But speaking if that, didn't you say you had twin brothers? Where are they?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, I didn't see them yesterday. God, they're twenty
now, jeez."

I scoffed, "That's not that old."

"To me it is! I haven't seen them since they were twelve! They're almost old enough to drink now."

Kurapika laughed, "Well I'm sure they will be delighted to see you once they figure out it's you. You look different now for sure. What about your if He brother?"

"Oh Miguel?" I sighed, "He's upstairs in his bedroom, he can't handle loud noises or new people. And dad didn't buy him batteries for his headphones."

"Headphones?"

"They're noise canceling. If they weren't dead I'm sure he would be down here, probably lurking around my siblings or me." I laughed.

"How old is he?"

"Uh...twenty-two."

"And he still lives here?"

I nodded, "Yeah? He takes online college courses."

"Those are a thing?"

I laughed, "Yeah! They have been for like....forever."

Kurapika sat back, "Oh. I didn't know that..."

I chuckled, "It's okay."

I ran my fingers through my hair, "Wanna go meet him?"

Kurapika looked at me, "Who? Miguel?"

I nodded.

He shook his head, "Not right now, maybe later though. I would love to meet the twins though."

"Kurapika they aren't even here-"

"Yes they are, look." He pointed to Diego and Mateo before smiling brightly, "Can you take me to go meet them?"

I chuckled, "Of course I can, anything for you."
