Leorio POV

"I want to baptize our kids. Lucy andwhatever kids we have in the future." I said.

Kurapika sat up slightly and looked at me, "What? Leorio, we're both atheists."

"Well," I looked over at him, "I was raised Catholic, and recently I've been going back to church and getting back into my religion. But look, religion was a big part of my childhood and of course if we do decide to raise them Catholic I will definitely raise them right. No 'if you're gay you end up in hell' typa shit because obviously that has a long term effect on kids especially if they are gay. Example A: Leorio Paladinknight."

Kurapika shook his head, "No. Leorio, religion was a big part of your childhood but let's be honest here, was it a good part? I mean look at you..."

"What do you mean 'look at me', Kurapika my religion has no effect whatsoever on...me."

"Yes it does." He sighed, "Leorio you still get tense every time we kiss. Of course not in an uncomfortable way but you know. I just don't want our kids to grow up with the fear of going to a place where you'll 'burn for eternity'  and relying on a fake man in the sky? Leorio that's bullshit."

I scoffed, "Kurapika just because you don't believe in the same things I do doesn't mean you have to disrespect it. In times of need in my childhood when I had no one to turn to, I prayed to God and I'll be honest here, it helped."

"Leorio that's stupid. I'm not a religious person-"

"Atheism is a religion Kurapika!"

"Perfect, our kids can be atheist." I sighed, "Can you at least think it over? Please?"

"No. My answer is no." Kurapika swung his legs over the side of the bed, "I don't want to involve my- our kids in that stupid shit. I don't believe in God and it's fine if you do, but I don't want our kid- kids to too."

I stood up, "You know what, fine. Fine. Our kids don't have to be Catholic but if you dare try to take their culture away from them too so help me Kurapika we will be done."

"I wouldn't try to, as long as you don't. There's Kurta culture too."

I ran my fingers through my hair, "What about Lillian, she's Catholic, will you take that away from her?"

"She's not my kid. She's yours."

"Unbelievable." I shook my head, "I'm heading to work."

He nodded, "Okay, bye, I love you."

"Yeah. You too."
