Father's Day

Leorio POV

"Why do always have to do this?" Kurapika asked as he tied my tie, "Don't you know how to do this yourself. You had a prom."

I chuckled, "I do know how to tie it but I find it cute when you help me out with basic everyday things."

He sighed and pat my chest, "You should help me with everyday task then."

"What do we have kids for then?"

Kurapika looked up at me, "Leorio-"

Suddenly there was a knock at the door, "Hold that thought Sunshine."

I straightened my tie as I walked to the door. Who would even be here on father's day?

I opened the door, "What are you doing here?"

My dad smiled, "Leorio, my son. It's so great to see you!"

He leaned in for a hug but I pushed him away, "I didn't invite you here. And I don't like physical contact."

"Well I decided to stop by for father's day. You can't even wish your old man a happy father's day?"

"I had plans." I scowled at him as he pushed his way inside.

"Leorio, who is it?" Kurapika asked as he walked into the living room, "Oh. It's you. You weren't invited."

"You can't wish your father in law a happy father's day either? I'm the only dad you have left."

Kurapika glared at him, "You aren't my father. My father was a good man."

"Who said I wasn't a good man?"

"Your son."

My dad glanced at me, "Leorio? Why would you tell such lies?"

"Get out of my house. You aren't welcome here."

He took a step closer to me, "What did I do? You're my son, why am I bit welcome in my own son's home?"

"You know why you aren't welcome here. You know exactly why."

He put his hands on my shoulders, "I was drunk. I never meant to hurt you."

"Oh so you were drunk for my entire life. Good to know, really. Now get out."

"You're a worthless son." He said coldly as he tightened his grip on my shoulders, "Worthless, just like I always told you."

"Get out now." I said as I pushed him back, "I don't want to see you here ever again."

My dad scoffed and turned around to leave, "No wonder why your mom never wanted you." And with that he was gone hopefully for good.
