Kurapika POV

I yawned and looked at the clock beside me, it was six am, the time I usually woke up during the kid's school year.

I looked beside me and to my surprise, Leorio wasn't asleep, in fact he was already out of bed doing who knows what.

I sighed and sat up, Leorio has had a lack of sleep for the past week or two which worries me.

I stood up and stretched. As I was walking out of our room I noticed that the garbage-can was filled with barf, gross.

"Leorio, did you forget to take out the gar-" I heard a sudden noise coming from the kitchen, I quickly walked in to see Leorio quickly covering something up.

"Leorio, what happened?" I asked suspiciously.

Leorio looked up at me and smiled, "Morning Sunshine, I just spilled something so I'm cleaning it up."

He must have just spilled something there were paper towels all over the counter covering up something. But beside the paper towels was a spoon.

I smiled at him, "Thanks for cleaning up that mess. But I would appreciate if you would have taken out the garbage."

"Oh, sorry about that baby. I was feeling....sick and my brain was refusing to function." He continued to clean up his mess on the counter.

I watched him, something just seemed off about him. I looked at his hand, he was holding a long strip of rubber.

"Leorio."

"Yes?"

"Why is the stovetop on?" I looked up at him.

"I-I don't know. I must have bumped into it or something." He turned it off and look at me, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You're using again aren't you!"

"What, no I'm not."

"Yes you are! The lack of sleep, the barfing, the fucking spoon, the stovetop! I knew it! I knew something was off! I knew you couldn't stop by yourself! I knew-"

Leorio cupped my face in his hand, "Sunshine, I promise you I'm not using again. I quit, I quit just for you."

"But, everything is showing that you are-"

"Why would you even think that. I would never lie to you, I love you, that's why I quit. You're the reason I quit, okay. I would never start using again if I did it for you, it kinda hurts that you ever thought I started again. I'm not using, I promise you my dear." He kissed my forehead then smiled at me, "I'm gonna head to work, okay?"

"Okay. Bye Leorio, I love you."

"Love you too Sunshine, see ya in a few."

Leorio POV

"Dr. Paladiknight? You're back at work? Shouldn't you be in recovery."

"My recover is going fine Johnson. Thank you for worrying though." I sat down and smiled at my team, "I see we got a new member. Who may you be hun?"

"Me? Oh, I'm Hannah Lockwood. I'm a medical student. Your boss told me fill in till you found a replacement for Dr. Smith." She held out her hand, "Nice to meet you sir."

"Nice to meet you Hannah, I'm sure you already fit in just fine. Johnson, what's our case file for today?"

"A kid who hasn't sleep in nine days and still isn't falling asleep. But Lockwood has clinical duty today."

"Perfect. Johnson and McDowell you two take care of the patient. I'll go with Hannah to see what she knows."

I stood up and looked at my team, "Do you two got this?"

"Yes sir- what's on your arm?"

I quickly pulled my sleeve down to hide my entire arm, "I got a shot the other day."

I looked over at the new member, "Let's see how much you know."
