Crying

Leorio POV

I tapped my pen on my desk trying to think of what to write next, I couldn't focus though. Lucy was crying, Kurapika isn't home, and the kids were at school. She hasn't stopped crying since Kurapika left.

I gritted my teeth when cried louder.

I tried everything to shut her up but nothing worked so I just let her cry. I tried almost everything.

I looked behind me at her crib, "Shut up."

I turned back to my paperwork and sighed heavily when she continued to cry.

"Shut up!" I yelled, "Shut up!"

I got up and walked over to her, "God you're so fucking annoying! Shut up Lucy!"

But she didn't stop.

Kurapika POV

I opened the door and almost immediately heard Lucy crying, "Leorio?"

I jogged a bit to Leorio's office, he wasn't in there but Lucy was.

I ran over to her and picked her up, "Why are you crying?"

I saw bruising on her arm, "What's th- Wait, where's Papa?"

"Kurapika shut her up! I can't fucking take it anymore!" I heard Leorio yell.

I went to where I heard Leorio's voice. He was sitting on the floor in our room covering his ears and sobbing.

"Leorio how long was she crying? I've been gone for like twelve hours. Did you feed her or change her diaper?"

He shook his head, "Make her shut up!"

"Leorio did you hit her?"

"Shut her up Kurapika!" He yelled louder causing Lucy to cry harder.

I held her tightly to my chest, "Leorio! Did you hit her?"

He didn't answer.

"Leorio!"

"No, no, I didn't! Shut her up, please!" He started to cry again.

I walked out of the room and went to Lucy's room to change her.

Once she was changed she stopped crying, "Okay baby, I'm gonna get you something to eat."

I grabbed her a bottle from the fridge and sighed. She quickly fell asleep after she was done eating, I brought her to her crib to and laid her down.

I heard Leorio from the other room still crying.

I walked into our room and shut the door, "She's asleep now."

I walked over to Leorio and leaned down, "Do you want to explain to me what happened? Do you know why she has a bruise on her arm?"

"S-she was crying really loud and I tried everything to shut her up but nothing worked. And it was driving me crazy, so I um I started yelling at her but she didn't stop crying and I thought about hitting her, but um I didn't. So I hid in here still she stopped."

"Do think she was crying because of the bruise on her arm?"

"No. It wasn't there earlier."

"How'd it get there then?"

"I don't know."

"Do you?"

He shook his head, "No, are saying I did it? I didn't Kurapika."

"Leorio, I'm not saying you did but I'm saying that there's a chance that you did because of you're past-"

"I didn't hit her Kurapika!" He stood up.

"Leorio-"

"No shut up! I didn't hit our damn kid!" He shook his head, "Fuck you!"

I stood up, "Leorio I'm sorry!"

"I left her alone because I didn't want to hurt her! I'm not a damn abuser Kurapika!"

"Neglect is abuse Leorio! If she's crying figure out why don't leave her alone for hours! That's abuse!"

"No shut up! I did it so I wouldn't hurt her!"

I looked at him, "Were you drinking? Or getting high?"

"No."

"Then why don't you know she got that bruise?"

"I don't know Kurapika."

"Yes you do, stop lying. You hit her didn't you? I know you did."

He took a deep breath, "I'm going to get a drink. If I'm not home by tomorrow I probably cheated on you."

"Wow okay. Bye you fucking bastard."

"Bye you bitch."
