Kurapika POV

I traced the lines on Leorio's hand. I was anxious, I got to tell Leorio something, but I'm afraid he won't like it.

I sighed and glanced up at Leorio. He was flipping through the channels on the TV, trying to decide on what to watch.

"Sunshine," Leorio said.

I jumped, "Uh, what?"

"Jeez, I was calling your name for like five minutes. Are you alright?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm good. Did you figure out what to watch?"

Leorio shook his head, "Nah, you have any ideas?"

"No, " I mumbled.

Leorio rubbed my arm, then kissed my forehead.

I snuggled closer to him and hummed. His arms were cozy and warm.

"Leorio," I spoke up, "I've been meaning to talk to you about something, and before you say anything, it shouldn't make you mad. It might make you confused or possibly upset."

Leorio raised his eyebrow.

I know Leorio will be resentful of my idea, but who cares? I sure don't.

"Well," Leorio sighed, "What is it?"

I sat up, "Okay."

I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, "I want another kid—a son preferably. Don't say anything, please. Let me explain why—"

"Another kid? Kurapika—"

"No! Let me finish. As I said, I want a son. I want a son with Kurta blood. There are medical procedures for gay couples to have biological children, but it's a small success rate. I'm sure you've heard of it, Doctor Paladiknight. In case you haven't, I've been researching it. It's called IVF, also known as In Vitro Fertilization. A lot of opposite-sex couples who are infertile turn to it, but gay men can also use it. We'll have to figure out the details, find a surrogate, and all that stuff. Leorio please, I just want to carry on my family's bloodline."

Leorio was silent. I couldn't tell what he was considering. He didn't look mad, or resentful, just stunned.

"Leorio?"

"Kurapika," He sighed, "I was going to offer that to you as a birthday present! Now I actually have to spend money! Yes Kurapika, I'm on board with it. For the past month I've been looking for anginces and clinics. But a son? Why not a daughter, if we have a son he might turn out like me and ehh—"

I sighed in relief.

"Leorio," I smiled, "We need a son. I couldn't do three daughters. You could barley live with two sisters."

"Or, we could ask for a surprise," Leorio smiled, "Please?"

* * *

"I like the name Kiara, I think it's pretty," Leorio said.

"Amir, I like that one."

Leorio shook his head, "Nah, what about Kennedy?"

"Hmm, how about Kyle?"

"I would rather die than be caught alive with a kid named Kyle, you have to be fucking kidding me."

I chuckled, "How about Luca?"

Leorio shrugged, "It has a nice ring to it, Luca Paladiknight. How about Eliza?"

"Nope, we're having a boy—"

"No, it's gonna be a girl—"

"Leorio," I said, "My DNA, my choice."

"I have a better idea, let's focus on uni-sex names.  That way the gender doesn't matter!"

I sighed, "Alright, but we're having a boy."

"Ryan, it's cute for a girl," He looked down at me.

"I like it, kinda. Parker, I think Parker is cute."

"No..."

We sat in silence. It's so much harder picking possible names when you don't know the gender.

"I like Emerson," We said in unison.

I smiled, "Wanna write that one down?"

"Nah, you write it. I gotta piss," Leorio pushed me off him.

"Leorio!" I laughed, "Don't push me!"

He shrugged, "My bad."

"You fucker," I sat up, "I'm gonna write some names down while you're gone."

"Okay, but don't put down Kyle."

"Alright," I sighed.

And yes, I did write down Kyle.
