Leorio POV

It's been about a year almost two since I last saw Kurapika, we got into a fight about something and once I woke up he was gone. The only way I can contact him is through calls and text, which of course, he still refused to answer. And the only way to forget about him is to go out and have fun, which is exactly what I'm doing.

About an hour ago a hot girl sat beside me and started flirting, she was a bit drunk but hey, I was too. Not to mention I also managed to pull a hot guy.

"So what do you do for work?" The girl asked me with a smirk.

"I'm a doctor," I flirted back.

"A doctor, that's interesting, how much do you make?" The guy asked placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Lots," I smirked and began to put my arm around the girl's shoulder.

I took a sip in my drink and began to think of the answer to the question running through my head: which one of them am I taking home? The red-head? The brunette guy? Or the hot blonde in a suit locking eyes with me across the crowd who strangely looks a lot like-

"Kurapika?" I mumbled in a confused and drunken tone.

"How old are you again?" The girl asked.

"Hold that thought sweetheart." I bolted up and began to walk my way over to Kurapika.

As soon as Kurapika saw me get up he looked away and quickly began to walk in the opposite direction.

I slipped through the crowd trying to catch up with him. Thankfully because of my height, it wasn't easy to lose sight of Kurapika.

"Excuse me." I pushed past a few people, "Get out of my way please."

Kurapika looked behind him and once he saw me he began to speed up, so I did too. I began to run just to catch up, as a result, he did too, "Kurapika! Kurapika please!"

But it seemed like God was on my side because Kurapika slipped causing him to fall, and I was able to catch up.

Kurapika stood up and cursed. As he was about to walk away I grabbed his wrist, "Kurapika, we need to talk. Now."

Kurapika rolled his eyes, "I have a job! Now leave me alone."

Kurapika pulled away from me, "I ignore you for a reason. So stop following me and go hook up with some chick."

"Following you? Kurapika I just want answers! You could've got a cab, or beat me up, but you didn't so you obviously want to talk to me too. So let me talk to you."

Kurapika cleared his throat and brushed off his blazer, "Fine, but nowhere fancy, just your apartment."

"You look terrible," I said sitting down on the couch beside Kurapika.

"So does your apartment."

"Here." I slid a mug over to him and smiled.

"Thank you." He took a sip, "Mmm, green tea, you remembered."

"Of course I did. That's like the last thing you told me before you left last time."

"That was two years ago..." He set his cup down and sighed.

Kurapika looked me up and down before clearing his throat, "What do you need to talk about Leorio? I have something to do."

I looked at Kurapika and I was right, he did look terrible. He had dark circles under his eyes, he looked so tired. I couldn't imagine I looked any better.
