Kurapika POV

I tapped Leorio's shoulder, "Babe." No response, "Babe." No answer.
"Babe."
"Babe."
"Baby."
"Baby!"
"Leorio!"
"Hey!"
"Leorio..."
"Leorio!"
"Mr.Leorio."
"Doctor Leorio."
"Heyyyy~"
"Dad-"

"What the fuck do you want now?" Leorio asked angrily. I smiled, "What do you want for dinner?" He shook his head, "All that just so I could answer a simple question that you could have figured out yourself!"

I nodded, "Yes~" He scowled at me, "I don't care. You figure it out by yourself I'm busy." I frowned, "You don't look busy."

"Well I will be if you don't shut up! Look I had a terrible day at work, and I'm sorry for yelling at you, but you can decide what to have for dinner by yourself while I go do whatever."

Leorio stood up and began to walk to our room, "Now, go cook."

"What are you going to do?"

"None of your business."

"Are you going to angrily mastur-"

"Kurapika! Go to the kitchen!" I nodded and walked into the kitchen, he was definitely mad about something. He usually doesn't mind my teasing.

"Leorio, dinner is ready." I said quietly through our bedroom door. I heard him murmur a few words before he actually spoke, "I'll eat in here just bring me my food." I sighed and went into the kitchen to grab his plate.

I opened the door and handed his plate to him, "Here. I'll eat in the liv-"

"You can eat in here if you want."

"No I don't want to bother you."

He sighed, "You won't bother me, I'm sorry Kurapika. I know I made you upset and all but I apologize. I feel super bad about it, I'm so sorry." I heard a bit of sadness in his voice and I could tell he was close to crying.

I nodded, "It's okay. I'll go get my food and then if you're okay with it, you can tell me what happened."

"Okay."

I went to grab my plate then came back into the room and sat beside him on the bed, "So what happened today?"

Leorio wiped his eyes, "You know about Miss Williams right?" I nodded. He looked at me, "Well she died today and it's my fault." I frowned, "No it wasn't."

He shook his head and began to cry, "No you don't understand, it is. This morning my mom called me at work to tell me that my grandpa died. I got so distracted by it that I gave Miss Williams the wrong medicine that she- she had a heart attack and- I might quit, I mean I became a doctor to save people not kill them!"

"Leorio, it's not your fault okay! You believe in God right?"

"Yeah I guess."

"Well if someone dies then God had that planned, that's what you said once. In different words but you still said it. You didn't kill her, it's not your fault. Maybe she just had a heart attack because of age, she was pretty old."

Leorio was practically sobbing at this point, "No no no, it's definitely my fault. God doesn't want anyone to get murdered by their own doctor! If anyone finds out that I gave her the wrong thing then I'll be fired or sued! Just nothing good."

I was starting to cry now, "You shouldn't quit either! It's not your fault I promise you that! And I'm so sorry about your grandpa too! Just don't blame yourself about your patient! They're in the hospital for the reason!"

I grabbed Leorio's hands, "I want you to eat your dinner then we can talk more about this after you're done eating."

Leorio shook his head, "I don't want to eat, I just want to talk to you." I grabbed his face, "Just eat then we can talk I promise. Then we can watch movies and eat popcorn. Do whatever you want."

He nodded, "I'm sorry Kurapika, I'll eat then we can talk and I want to watch 'Black Panther' with popcorn." He laughed and kissed me, "Thank you."

"Of course."
