Ice Skating

Kurapika's POV

I put my head down on my book and groaned, I had to re-read this page three times thanks to all the noise from the bedroom.

I looked up, "Leorio! What are you doing in there?!" I heard a loud cursing from the room before I heard a reply, "I'm looking for something! Be right out!"

I heard a box fall then finally the door opened, "So the other day when my car broke down I walked home from work. As you know it's snowing outside and will be for a long time. So while walking home I found this flyer." He put the flyer down so I could read it, "Ice Skating?"

He nodded, "Mhm, you see we live in a big city, York New, so the Ice Skating rink is only open when it snows because it's outside and it needs to freeze, and if you look outside," He pointed to the window, "It's snowing! So can we please go?"

I smiled, "Duh! I'm awesome at ice skating!" Which was a lie I haven't ever gone ice skating before, "When does it open?"

Leorio pointed at some writing on the flyer, "Eight to twelve, after we can go somewhere if you aren't tired."

"Why do you think I'll be tired?"

He shrugged, "You get tired easily, but I'll still probably drag you somewhere." I rolled my eyes, "What time is it now?"

He looked at his watch, "Seven thirty five, if you wanna change before we leave you better hurry because it takes you twenty minutes just to change and us twenty to get there including if we pick up the kids."

I shut my book and went to get changed.

Leorio was already waiting in the car so I ran outside when he started honking. I put on my coat and ran outside to get in the car.

When I got in the car Leorio sighed, "Leggings? Are you serious?" I shrugged, "They go with my outfit." He rolled his eyes and started the car.

He looked at me, "I guess you're right, let's go pick up Killua and Gon, also Killua's little sister is coming with us and so is their friend."

I nodded, "Okay that's fine."

We drove in silence till we got to the kid's house, but it wasn't uncomfortable silence, just silence like it could be with your family on a lazy day.

I looked at the kids in the back Killua, Gon, Killua's sister Alluka, and their friend Zushi. The boys were arguing about something while Alluka was telling them to calm down. A few minutes later we arrived at the skating rink.

All four of the kids immediately jumped out and ran up to the stand holding their money. Leorio laughed and got out of the car, "You coming?"

I nodded, "Yeah just a second." I looked at the actual rink, there was a lot of people. I took a deep breath and got out of the car.

Leorio glanced at me and smirked, "I know you haven't been ice skating before, why did you lie?"

"I don't know, so you wouldn't think I was weird." Leorio sighed, "Gon hasn't been ice skating before, I also doubt Samantha has, she's very overprotective. We can't do anything."

I laughed, "I guess your right, now go up and pay for me!" He stopped and looked at me, "Who said I was paying?" I crossed my arms and scoffed, "This jacket, now go."
